Donald Trump said he isn’t ruling out launching a line of attack on Hillary and Bill Clinton‘s marriage as the Democratic nominee continues to hammer him on claims of sexism.
In an interview with the New York Times published Friday, Trump said he could soon begin waging a war on the Clintons’ relationship and Bill Clinton’s past affairs and accusations of sexual assault.
“Hillary Clinton was married to the single greatest abuser of women in the history of politics,” Trump said. “Hillary was an enabler, and she attacked the women who Bill Clinton mistreated afterward. I think it’s a serious problem for them, and it’s something that I’m considering talking about more in the near future.”
Trump has largely avoided dragging Bill Clinton’s sex scandals into the election, including at the first presidential debate Monday.
But as Hillary Clinton ramps up her own accusations of sexism — now starring former Miss Universe Alicia Machado — that approach could change.
“She’s nasty, but I can be nastier than she can ever be,” Trump said.
