Republican front-runner Donald Trump is taking yet another controversial stance.
Trump told The New York Times Monday that he agrees with fellow candidate Jeb Bush that the Washington Redskins don’t need a name change.
“Honestly, I don’t think they should change the name, unless the owner wanted to,” Trump explained. “I know Indians that are extremely proud of that name. They think it’s a positive.”
Last week, Bush stated that he doesn’t “think politicians should have any say on that stuff, to be honest with you… It’s a sport for crying out loud,” which earned him a stern response from DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
