Donald Trump mocked Glenn Beck’s planned appearances with Ted Cruz in Iowa in the coming days, portraying it as a “sad answer” to Sarah Palin’s endorsement of his own candidacy earlier this week.
Appearing in Ames, Iowa, on Tuesday, Trump earned the backing of former Alaska Gov. Palin, who had supported Cruz in his 2012 Senate campaign. For his part, Cruz has shrugged off Palin’s endorsement of Trump as “her prerogative” and that he would remain “a big, big fan” of hers.
Beck and Cruz will hit the trail together to attend rallies organized by the pro-Cruz super PAC Keep the Promise in seven different towns between Saturday and Monday, hitting up Ankeny, Dike, New Hartford, Waterloo, Maquoketa, Manchester and Independence, according to The Des Moines Register.
