A Transportation Security Administration worker in Arkansas faces child pornography charges after being nabbed in a federal sting operation.

Jacksonville resident Raymond Kinney, 54, was arrested last Wednesday after he arrived at a motel intending to have sex with two minors he met online.

Undercover officers reportedly began monitoring Kinney as he surfed a social media site last month specifically seeking minors for sexual contact.

Kinney reportedly “sent several pictures and videos of child pornography over the internet,” according to ArkansasMatters.com, and set up a meeting with federal officers at a motel, where he later showed up with sex toys and children’s clothing.

Kinney faces five to twenty years in prison and a $250,000 fine for knowingly distributing child pornography.

“Kinney had worked for the TSA since 2002 and was based at Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock, though the official described his job as ‘regulatory duties’ and said he did not screen passengers,” reports ArkansasOnline.com.

Every few months, the federal agency is forced to defend its hiring of criminal delinquents, including convicted thieves, rapists and sexual predators, as background checks and screening procedures frequently prove ineffective.

Just last year, for example, another TSA worker was arrested in California seeking sex with a mother and her 13-year-old daughter, who were in actuality federal agents.

A TSA supervisor calling into the Alex Jones Show in 2012 also revealed that his bosses had instructed him to hire people that exhibited violent tendencies and psychopathic behavior.

“If they have a background and it’s something like violence or abusing authority we put them right in, we put them guys on the floor first day,” the man described.

An Office of Inspector General Summary of Significant Investigations report in 2012 cataloged a high number of DHS employee-perpetrated crime in a one year period, with criminal activity ranging anywhere from thefts to possession of child pornography to drug and human trafficking, sordid activities indeed for the people tasked with protecting the “homeland.”
