LOS ANGELES: Two police officers were killed and two people were injured after a bomb exploded at a bank in the western US state of Oregon,
authorities have confirmed.

The fatalities included a bomb disposal expert and a police chief who died after a suspicious package exploded at a branch of the West Coast Bank in Woodburn, 30 miles (48 kilometers) south of Portland, on Friday.
The bomb also seriously injured a 46-year-old police chief and a female bank employee, Oregon State Police said in a statement.
No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the bombing and authorities have issued a 35,000-dollar reward for information leading to the capture of those responsible.
The bomb was discovered after a branch of the Wells Fargo bank in Woodburn received a threatening phone call early on Friday.
The bank was evacuated but a suspicious object found at the site was not determined to be dangerous, police said.

I second the false flag of TX_Squirrel, and raise you a “Why would “bomb experts” take a bomb out of an outdoor area to an indoor area with more potential for property damage?”. Last I heard, when defusing an unknown type of IED, or even a known one, you first try and NOT move it, then diagnose it then defuse it. Something don’t add up about that at all. Granted, you might CAREFULLY move one to a bomb disposal tank to be transported to a safe range to do a controlled detonation. But not into a building that is part of the property you’re trying to protect. In short, I’d love to see the reasoning on the official report to cover this. All hail RAPID thermal expansion!

I,ve been to Woodburn. This is the “Perfect” patsy town. Keep in mind that earlier this year the DOD/Military was running “Drills” in Portland. What most people don’t know was that Salem ( state capital 50 miles south) was the primary staging ground, but get THIS!! Woodburn ( 25 miles south) was the “secondary” staging ground for the choppers. How, ironic that the FBI just happened to be pre-staged for this Friday evening False Flag Terror Event. Notice it was “local officers” that were sacrificed and NO federal agents lost their life. It’s best to treat this as a disgruntled customer. If people had kept their distance from the bomb then it probably would have just broken some glass. Carrying it into the building probably was not wise. It’s a tradgedy that people were killed, however I don’t think this justifies any action except calling someone who knows how to deal with a bomb when you get a bomb threat.

The cops do not benefit from this. True, a series of events like this could lead to a major crackdown and eventual martial law but cops are worthless crybabies. They will all run home to mom and eat some cereal when the chips are down (or the balloon goes up).
We have also had a series of “mailings” in the past two weeks to various members of Congress. You can rest assured that we have a whole lot of angry people running around and sooner or later things will escalate.
Spring, 2009 is going to be a remarkable time in the history of this nation. I estimate that we have 3-6 months to prepare for the beginnings of a depression and the chaos that will follow.
We could certainly see a number of fals flag events along the way but from which direction they originate is anybody’s guess. I tell everyone I know to just be prepared for a very difficult 2009 from beginning to end.

I live in the area where this happened. When they first reported this the other day, they said the FBI had been in the wells fargo next door earlier in the day doing some kind of investigation. Later that day the bomb exploded in the West coast bank. I wonder if it was bait, or if the FBI did have something to do with it.

I want the FBI to release the 911 call that the Wells Fargo teller made to the police, after she received the “threatening” phone call from the “alleged” bomber. I want the FBI to release ALL survalience tapes from both Wells Fargo and West Coast. I would also like to know the what time the FBI was notified, as their two closest field offices are in Salem and Portland. Nothing happens by accident. West Coast Bank is a small regional privately held “local” bank. They are not even in the same league as Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Citi ect. They are much more sound than the national brands and are not holding toxic paper. They would be a great accquistion target because of their deposits. Notice the threat originated from Wells Fargo but West Coast took the blow. How many people will move their deposits out of that branch monday??

This ‘bomb’ was a stupid attempt to incriminate the general public, so the banksters can start having jack booted security in & around banks.

The ‘bomb cal’nl was for another bank-didn’t the stool pigeon know where he/she left the package, or what?? When that bank (Wells Fargo) was found ‘clean’ why did they go to another bank to search around? Who planted the package in the bushes? Do cops ever plat evidence?
Why did the idiot cops take the package INTO the bank? Bomb squads everywhere must be in utter amazement at how blatantly stupid this move was.
If someone wanted to blow a bank up, why leave the pkg out front, some feet away from the door, in the bushes?????

To those of you that say the cops have nothing to gain with something like this, I say you are wrong. For the same reason that idiot fireman was calling false alarms into his station last week, and for the same reason the LAFD used to dispatch trucks (as opposed to engines) to EMS calls when the responses for trucks were falling – you MUST look to the dollar. If budget issues put services within agencies at risk of closure, I would tend to look for a sudden spike in activity calling for the need for that particular service. A bomb unit in some podunk Oregon police department? I’m not saying the deaths were planned, but things can always go wrong. Please explain to me why the cops took the package from the bushes INSIDE the bank? If you ask me, this one stinks to high heaven.

I read about this in much detail in my delaware paper. First of all the police responded to a bomb threat at a bank near there. they found a package there and it was not a bomb. for some reason they decided to search this bank, they found the bomb outside, they took it inside. ??? (i dont know why … ) they probably thought it was a hoax like the previous one they found. I dont know any other details than that but its listed in the New Castle County sunday paper 12-14-08
