U.S. Army To Buy $6 Million Of Riot Equipment

The U.S. Army is to invest $6 million in riot equipment, a fact that has furthered fears that troops will be used inside the U.S. in order to quell any civil unrest resulting from the ongoing economic crisis.
The U.S. Army Contracting Agency, based at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, has a post on the Federal Business Opportunities website, requesting the equipment and has received several notices of interest from potential vendors.
The request titled “84–RIOT EQUIPMENT” outlines the need for hard polyethylene Shin and Chest Guards, shock absorbing Forearm Protectors, Interior leg brace supports as well as knee and ankle protectors.
The ACA asks that the equipment be able to “safely withstand a substantial blow… from non-ballistic weapons or flying debris”.
The Solicitation also states:
The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 453998 with a small business size standard of $6M. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids.
Interested vendors include Irish Brigade inc., manufacturers of hunting and safety gear with facilities located in the heart of Kansas City , Missouri. Federal and Military resource company MCLEARVISION, LLC is another interested party, as is Kentucky based U. S. CAVALRY STORE, INC.

In our article yesterday we highlighted the fact that Urban warfare training drills are taking place across the country as top analysts as well as officials predict a potential “summer of rage” across Europe and America as civil unrest from the economic fallout builds.
Are such drills really for the purpose of preparing troops for foreign combat zones? Undoubtedly – but other factors indicate that the drills may very well also be aimed at preparing troops for dealing with mass civil unrest as the economic crisis worsens.
There’s no question that U.S. authorities have been closely observing riots that have toppled governments in Iceland and Latvia and also threatened to do so in several other European countries. The fact that they have contingency plans in place to deal with such scenarios should they unfold in America cannot be disputed.
Indeed, before a media exposé forced them into a denial, Northcom revealed that one of the duties of at least 20,000 active duty troops that are being placed inside the United States would be dealing with “civil unrest and crowd control”.
The U.S. Army War College in November released a white paper called Known Unknowns: Unconventional ‘Strategic Shocks’ in Defense Strategy Development. The report warned that the military must be prepared for a “violent, strategic dislocation inside the United States,” which could be provoked by “unforeseen economic collapse,” “purposeful domestic resistance,” “pervasive public health emergencies” or “loss of functioning political and legal order.” The “widespread civil violence,” the document said, “would force the defense establishment to reorient priorities in extremis to defend basic domestic order and human security.”

It is well to say that we do not harbour any resentment against all members of the military; however, having said that, there will be far too many who engage their fellow Americans with the warm feeling of “patriotism” in their hearts. I am greatly concerned about them as well. Consider the unstable police officers who commit attrocious acts against citizens who are far removed from being a genuine “threat”. Think of the way that children in public schools are being conditioned to the police state. For those of you in the military and in state/local law enforcement, search your minds and your hearts. You know that you are well within your rights to not follow orders that are illegal (consider the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, which you may be told no longer apply in certain situations or do not apply to those who will not comply). Those of you who have your intellectual integrity intact (who have not allowed themselves to be conditioned and desensitized beyond recovery) and have your morality intact… you good men and women know that those actions are wrong. I get concerned when Alex talks of “winning” I parallel it with “winning” the war on terrorism or drugs or any of the other unconquerable paradigms. “They” will never win, nor shall We. There would need to be a defined goal to determine the “win”. This is not a game; It is life, and life’s ultimate end is death.
Regardless of the results of battles fought between the millions of factions ,all of the current human conditions will remain. Perhaps i am starting to see that maybe this all is grand design. Turning away from peaceful measures and toward immediate unrestrained violence is the surest way to undo all that we are trying to do here. The reason this site exists is to help protect the innocent from those who wish to do harm. If your sole intent is to incite aggression, you do injustice to us all; the unmitigated, rampant violence and hatreds are the very thing we’re trying to quell. I don’t want to see people get hurt, even if they are jackbooted thugs, because, chances are, they are ignorant to the evils they commit (this does not excuse them, but it does permit us to pity them.) People will and should defend themselves when it comes to that, but peaceful protest is aimed at preventing it from arriving at that most desperate hour.
Now, if peaceful protest is not proactive enough for you, there still exists the countermeasures of sabotage, which while not necessarily placid, they are at least humane, trusting that your sabotage damages material only, and hopefully does not place people’s lives in serious peril. Locate the document “Simple Sabotage” to give you a start. If you really wish to halt the 6 million dollar weapons deal from going down, find the manufacturing plant and “throw a wrench” into the operation, it would actually do more good than telling people to run out and become bullet magnets.

The reason this site exists is because it makes MONEY! It makes money by hiding its agenda in plain sight. Information War = Mass Confusion. It is time to reorganize the citizen militias of the 1990’s that were so heavily infiltrated and destroyed. I know, I was the XO of a light infantry/recon unit until spooks turned us all against each other and everybody disbanded in disgust! But this time be very careful who you let into the unit, only those you have known for many years, family members, close friends and coworkers, etc. and WATCH very carefully any potential weak links who might turn on you, and WATCH ANYONE WHO IS OVERLY GUNGHO! I know some of you think I am overly GUNGHO, but I am not. I am OVERLY PISSED (understatement of the Century), and there is a DIFFERENCE! Anyway, organize and identify who has the necessary skills a small unit would need, such as special weapons, intel, communications, supply, medics, etc. and find a relatively remote local spot that is friendly and start training on a monthly basis! What the NWO system slathers for is immediate physical action from the NWO resisters. Some one up top mentioned an ADEX list. You have to consider what this person is saying. Alex has amazing stories that are actually covered in the international press and other broadcast outlets. Alex brings them to the masses in a condenced form similar to what the Drudge Report does. He also has a group of reporters covering stories. Look I like Alex’s investigaitive approach to stories, I like how he uncovers the core of cover ups. But anyone who has done anything in the realm of protests knows the kind of confrontation that goes with it. When you get on a local cable access station and start reporting the truth, when you go on Public radio to report the truth, you get hostility from all sides of the equation.
Alex seems untouched by these things, how is that? How does he confront David Gergen and their are no reprisals? The government does things like what was described by the other post. Look at this link and their is some detail given.

That line of reasoning isn’t necessarily true. If it is true then why did they kill William Cooper or Jim Keith or countless other pioneers that spread the truth? Most of the newbies have never heard of either of these two courageous men.
We should be very careful not to put anyone up on a pedestal or make a hero out of a guy that is making a hefty profit from “spreading the truth.” If we’re truly awake then we should always be on guard against anyone proclaiming to be anything more than a common man trying to spread truth to his countrymen.

Firstly, I have been researching these issues since ‘93, concentrating at the sources of the agenda. Cooper and Keith have never been on my radar because I have never been aware of who they are. In fact, your post is the first in which I have read their names. I agree with your caution regarding pedestals. Mr. Jones is simply a very knowledgeable man in possession of good sources. I am considering what DHS/NSA/CIA/FBI/FEMA, etc… and their puppet masters’ views regarding Mr. Jones may be if he were to suffer an unfortunate fate. As far as profit is concerned, who cares??? 50% still isn’t good. It means that, for every encounter between the U.S. troops and us, there is a 50% chance of us being fired upon. I’d say the odds are greater than that. I don’t know how old most of you are, but I vividly recall the shootings, by Ohio National Guardsmen, of UNARMED students on the Kent State campus on May 4, 1970. That was at a time well before our military began training for martial law and recruiting convicted felons and foreigners.

I agree to an extent.
The time frame has always been just over the horizon, but it’s better to be prepared then to be caught unaware. The reason people like Alex and William Cooper and a bunch of other aware Americans thought the police state was coming sooner rather then later was because of all the internal documents that came directly from our government and the united Nations.
You can’t fault them for taking those official documents seriously. Having weapons and ammunition at the ready is responsible and intelligent. Being a little paranoid is also prudent, especially when the government is becoming so openly fascist and tyrannical.
It took years for all these things to come to pass, so they got the timing wrong, but the overall program is running, and running strong. did you ever think we would have something called “Homeland Security” or a “Patriot Act” that pretty much destroys the Bill of Rights?
What about 20,000 North Com troops ready to be deployed in the event of civil unrest? Then we have the John Warner Defense Bill, PDD 51, the SPP, and a bunch of other draconian legislation dismantling our freedoms.
If people panic then that’s really on them. I agree, Alex does practice a bit of fear mongering, but it’s all part of the show. He rarely goes on rants and into screaming rages anymore, partly because his audience has changed, partly because he realizes that it makes his chances of being taken seriously by a mainstream audience much lower.
Either way, it’s not about one man, it’s about all of us.

For what it may be worth. About a week ago a state trooper showed up the place that I was doing some computer support work. He was a plain clothes guy and I would never have guessed in a million years that he was a trooper. He was there to confiscate the FOID card of the owner for an order of protection. That is not the purpose of my post. I talked to him as he was leaving and brought up the subject of the economy, the collapse of the dollar, etc. I mentioned that this would undoubtedly cause people to become very distraught due to the loss of their savings, investments, etc. I then proceeded to ask him, directly, if he would fire on the American people. He said to me, “we will not fire on the American people”. Remember, he said “we”. I suspect that this has been a topic of discussion at State Police Headquarters and the reference to “we” included more than his opinion. This indicated to me that there are still police officers with a conscience and they will NOT fire on their countrymen when this thing finally comes down. Just a point of interest that I thought some of you might find noteworthy.

Recently, a friend of mine whom works in the mental health-care industry had told that the counseling center he works for has seen a 100% increase in clients…just in the past 6 months.
It would be awesome to know exactly what the future holds for all of us, but even without knowing any specifics we can safely assume that it’s not going to be a pretty sight!

the part that got me was saying that the the military is training in urban scenarios do deal with possible riots in the us. we train in urban terrain because most battles these days are fought in urban areas. MOUT (Military Operation on Urban Terrain) training has been around well before obama came into office and well before the economy started to get this bad. it has nothing to do with us citizens rioting. as for the army getting called up to deal with riots. The National Guard is the ONLY military force allowed to deploy on US soil, unless marshall law is established, but even then, the national guard will probably be the only ones handling it. just like when hurricane katrina hit. there were active duty units begging to be deployed to the gulf coast but it wasnt feasible.

If in this precarious economy there are millions of dollars available to quell civil disturbance in the US that hasn’t started brewing yet, why not give millions of dollars now to federal agencies to investigate and bring charges against the big bad financial crooks who connived and colluded and tanked the economy. That way, the public would feel the government understands (and represents and protects them), that justice is really being served at last, and likely everyone would not be out on the streets but staying at home and watching the proceedings unfold on tv.

Just a thought…well something I’ve been thinking for a while. Most here have the common sense to realize that any “violent civil unrest” will result in the Fed sending down their thugs to shoot and kill innocnet Americans that resist, and further martial law. ANyone ever stop to think that the NWO and all those involved want us to fight amongst each other so they have an excuse to declare martial law and fight American citizens.
Some states are doing right by using the 10th amendment to declare sovernity. The constitution is a contract between the Federal government and the states. Instead of violence we need to use the constitution against the feds, and begin all this in a passive resistant manner. If it comes down to civil war in the end, so be it. For now, we need to fight with our brains instead of our fists. Violence and war solves nothing. I think most can agree history is proof of that. Destroy one tyrant and setup another one.

They’ll push us until they eventually win in the end…unless we are willing to give our lives for the cause of freedom. I do agree that we should use peaceful means, but if that fails then we must go to the gun.
It would be very foolish to go to the streets and start shooting, and most of the serious minded people realize this and will wait for “them” to start the hot war. The problem with going the route of the Constitution is that the Constitution is flawed to begin with.
When the people threw out King George and his army of redcoats back in 1783 all political ties to the crown and England were severed. That meant that everyone in America became sovereign free people, under no government and onlt6 accountable to common law and God above.
Unfortunately, the elites in America, namely those men we call the “Forefathers” simply took the place of King George and created another system of slavery, albeit a clever one. Someone once said “No man is more enslaved then the one who thinks he is free.”
That’s always been the problem in America. People have thought they were free since the very beginning, except for a few wise soles. How can we be free if we can’t even own land outright? If we have to pay a property tax then it really isn’t our land. If we fail to pay the tax (extortion money) then we are forcefully removed from our “private property” and thrown into the street.
How can a man be free and not be allowed ti distill his own spirits (whiskey) without the BATFE or the FBI raiding his property and shooting up his family? How can a man be free when he is forced to pay the government (supposedly by and for the people) taxes? And if said free man refuses to pay those taxes (extortion) then he is thrown in jail or his property is auctioned off and he is left poor and destitute in a “Free” country?
How can a man be free when he must obtain licenses to fish, hunt, marry, travel, etc.? A license is issued because something is deemed illegal without the consent of the government. A free man doesn’t need permission to marry, travel, hunt, fish, work, defend himself or protect the lives of his family and protect his property.
You see, we don’t live in a free country, it’s communism with an option. Do it our way or choose punishment A, B, or C.

Considering how expensive this gear costs, $6 million is not a lot of money. How many troops will this equip? Certainly not enough to control the entire nation. The police now have APC’s and fully automatic assault rifles, they dress in black and wear masks so the people cannot identify them, which is in direct conflict of their oath. Year after year they become more brazen and treat the people like peasants. Police brutality is out of control and the higher ups support such behavior.
Our country is ruled by members of secretive groups that want to destroy the American way of life. This isn’t conspiracy theory, it is fact. The Council on foreign relations exists, same with the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderberger group. Every President in the past 50 years has filled his cabinet with either CFR goons or Trilateral Commission members (Past 1973) and the CIA’s leadership is almost exclusively made up of Skull and Bonesmen!

The time frame isn’t important, the proof is in the pudding. Things may not have happened in the time frame that the people you mentioned thought, but it is happening. Did you ever think something like 911 would occur? And be so blatantly carried out by people hijacking our government?

Actually, yes, my daily life has changed considerably in the last 20 – 30 years. 30 years ago there were no road blocks, SWAT teams were new and rarely deployed, there were less gun laws on the books, there was no patriot act, no dept of homeland security, schools didn’t freak out and call the cops if a child misbehaved, cops didn’t arbitrarily shoot unarmed people. . . Be ready for the “Summer of Rage” people.
