U.S. helicopter attack on Syria kills eight

A US military official said the attack by special forces had targeted a network of al-Qa’ida-linked foreign fighters moving through Syria into Iraq. The Americans had been unable to shut down the network in the area because Syria was out of the US military’s reach.

“We are taking matters into our own hands,” the official said.
The cross-border raid came just days after the commander of US forces in western Iraq said US troops were redoubling efforts to secure the Syrian border, which he called an “uncontrolled” gateway for fighters entering Iraq.
A Syrian government statement said the US helicopter gunships attacked Sukkariyeh Farm near the town of Abu Kamal, 8km inside the Syrian border. Four military helicopters attacked a civilian building under construction and fired on the workers inside, killing them. Four children were among the dead, the Syrians reported.
A resident of the nearby village of Hwijeh said some of the helicopters landed and the US troops left the aircraft and fired at a building. He said the helicopters flew along the Euphrates River into the area of farms and several brick factories. Another witness said four helicopters were used in the US attack.
Since the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, there have been some instances in which US troops crossed the 600km Syria-Iraq border in pursuit of militants, or US warplanes violated Syria’s airspace. But yesterday’s attack was the first conducted by aircraft and on such a large scale.

I just watched Dana Perino press report.
Was the worse example of a trustworthy government I have ever seen.
She refused to comment anything about the Syria attack and jokingly threatened to end the press meeting if the press did not stop harassing her for some form of accountability.
She had a similar press meeting when they released the report about wiretapping the soldiers for their phone sex with wives.
She thinks her pretty doll face compensates for their cover-ups. It reminds me of someone who would lie to her husbands face while screwing around.
We all know they can respond but are so guilty they need time to spin the news. Or like the wiretapping hope the problem goes away.
I wonder at what point in time would we realize that our government is corrupt.
Would the people realize it if they came out in Nazi uniforms, lighting cigars with the dollar, bearing a shirt that say’s ” I am NOT a crook”, signs in background that say “New World Order Takeover Imminent!!”
I don’t think so. After watching the Popular Mechanics report on 9/11 Conspiracy. They have an expert opinion on every event and how it is not really bad, but meant to help us.

“We will go after our enemies and those countries that harbor them”. These were the words of Bush in his 9/11 speech to congress shortly after 9/11. Now, that he’s at the end of his road, he decides to go after Syria. Assuming that Syria has been harboring or assisting terrorists, ( I believe they have all along) Bush just now getting around to doing this is pretty chicken-s--- at best but I think there might be alterior motives. More importantly, he picks on little countries first.
Why not go after Saudi Arabia with this same new found vigor? Certainly, anyone with 1/2 a brain knows they breed this kind of hostility. The government with all its intel doesn’t know this already? give me a break!
Personally, I think with his exit visa about to be stamped, his motive just might be to escalate conflict and perpetuate global and regional resentment by going into places like Syria, Pakistan and GOD knows what next. It’s his way of making sure the fires of war keep burning long after he’s gone. Why didn’t he honor his word sooner rather than later? Why now?
There is an alterior motive in this evil doer. I just know it.

I guess the current administration doesn’t recognize international borders any longer! That’s too bad really, how a couple of old “Bonesmen” can ruin it for everyone, for their own gain, and nobody will do anything about it. Now there is all this talk about a REVOLUTION! Really? If that were the case, it would have started after the “Banker Bailout” bill passed, even though 96% of the people were against this fraud. Now the banks are hoarding that money! It’s troubling to see that our government can behave in such a bass ackwards (and) hypocritical way that shows absolutely NO respect for another country’s sovereignty…cuz woe be it to another country that might find the excuse to do the same here. That’s exactly why the world hates the U.S. and who can really blame them for doing so, when these types of military actions have become common-place under the Bush administration. If there ever was a world “bully” since the days of the British empire building machine…it’s been the U.S. and it’s just another example of the blatant disregard we have for what we were warned NOT to do by our Founders.

It’s true many dont consider these things but I’m still surprised that they actually put this in the news. Probably since these boarder areas are more in the spotlight than anything and hearing that the military after the strike had “no comment” I mean what does that say? and Pakistan already said dont be coming up in here trying to shoot at anything we defy those orders as well looking for a guy who has been on dialysis for almost 8 years now and he travels in the desert does this make sense to any of you? if a person is on dialysis and they miss their hospital visits it’s over folks…you cant travel in a desert living in caves expecting to live. Yes yes vote for Obama (the kenyan) or Mcain (the panamanian) to see if they will bring our boys home…very interesting to see how this will be played out

Folks, haven’t you figured out what they are doing?
It’s simple they are provoking as much countries as they can in order to form an Asian-Middle East Coalition forces big enough to compete with the Western forces. It’s actually a sign that a huge and global war is on the way indeed.
Sides are set already, both are waiting for the right moment. Be watchful and careful, things gonna get tougher once 2009 comes.

Syria was on the list of countries to be invaded which included Iraq, Iran, and Syria before Bush was in the puppet seat. They are working on Iran and now they are starting with Syria just as planned.
The election won’t have any effect on the globalist agenda except maybe accelerate the existing invasions or start new one’s.

Just so you all know: Syria and Iran have a mutual defense pact. Also, Syria & Russia are pretty tight as well. Syria is allowing Russia to build and maintain military bases, esp. naval bases, on its territory. Also, Syria is receiving state of the art Russian air defense systems as well as long range surface-to-surface missiles. This could escalate quickly, esp. in light of the Georgian and Ukrainian situation with Russia (and NATO).

Why Bush is insisting in dragging this country into more Wars?? now they call the house they destroyed a “CAMP” for Alqaeda! The city which was attacked is close to the Iraqi Borders, so how idiotic to have a CAMP easily be discovered by the Satelites or even naked eye in a country who knows that the most vecious Army in the world is miles away from it’s borders. drtyfhry, It is a common thing in that region to build a temproray room for your wife and kids near or around a construction zone where you work if the project will take long time. They even plants their own vegetables if possible and bring their chicken and cheep. The Area where the dealdy atack happen is more like a villagers rather than an City. It’s an open land, If you build a training Camp there, it’s like running naked in the middle of the street.

Post 42 when the bible says Jesus will descend upon the mount of Olives that is meant to be taken quite clearly that He will descend upon the Mount of Olives. You cant take that “out of context” whatever the hell that means (I am sorry but that phrase is nothing more than a badly overabused cliche). And its not PALESTINE, its ISRAEL.
You said the Jews killed Jesus…sorry but it was the Romans who did the actual killing and besides EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THIS PLANET killed Jesus because of our sins. He died in place of all of us not just a few.
And eventually, as scripture prophesies, the Jews WILL accept Jesus.
You also seem to be confusing true christianity with Roman/Orthodox Catholicism who really have done their best to ruin Christianity as you put it.
