US says piracy resolution allows for air strikes in Somalia

The US government said Wednesday that it believes a new UN Security Council resolution on Somalia authorizes air strikes against pirates in Somali territory.
The resolution “authorizes states cooperating with the Somali Transitional Federal Government to extend counter-piracy efforts to include potential operations in Somali territorial land and air space, to suppress acts of piracy and armed robbery at sea,” the State Department said in a statement.
The 15-member Security Council unanimously approved Tuesday a new resolution authorizing for one year international military operations on Somali territory in agreement with the transitional government.
However, contrary to an earlier draft, the final version of resolution 1851 does not explicitly say Somali air space can be used.
“The resolution urges countries to establish an international cooperation mechanism as a common point of contact for counter-piracy activities near Somalia,” the State Department said in response to a reporter’s question to clarify the situation.
It also urges countries to pursue “efforts to enhance the judicial capacity of regional states to combat piracy, including the judicial capacity to prosecute pirates,” according to the statement.
“We believe this resolution marks an important step forward in the international community’s efforts to suppress and prevent acts of piracy off the coast of Somalia,” it said.

Yet again, no real surprise here as since WWII the US has used the umbrella of UN resolutions and mandates to shelter their military objectives without the reciprocity threat of war crimes prosecution.
There can be no doubt that the war machine of the MIC is looking for its next theater of operations beyond the current boundaries of the Iraq/Afghanistan conflicts. Iran, Georgia, India, Pakistan, North Korea, & Somalia as well as the contiguous 48 are all in play and being test detonated to see which area will erupt first. But don’t tell any of this to the millions of Americans who mindlessly wander about shopping and wasting their time, efforts, & money in the frivolous and hedonistic ritual that is christmas.
The biggest obstacle to the masses obtaining the truth about the US (and other nation’s) government’s nefarious activities in general and thus comprehending the greater realm of existence, is the disinterest and/or lack of discernment of the masses themselves in truth. If you want to stop pirates you must be willing to make them walk the plank. Besides we have no place to take them and just think of the attorneys willing to defend them at more cost to the public. This all in a system that is broken and overladen… Terminate them where they are and if the rest of the world does not like it so what. If we have to ask the U.N. every time we act we are lost… But then and again they control our military. Guess we can wait for them to act. But how long.

Pirates interfere with trade routes. Using a different trade route adds millions to the cost of goods. Countries are trying to defend their people & property. I suppose all of you folks would rather let the pirates run rampant & do as they will. Countries have been protecting their merchant ships from pirates for hundreds of years. This is nothing new. You folks need to get back on your meds & realise that not everything on this planet is an NWO plot. The shipping companies are asking for help from their governments. Any action taken in Somalia is being brought on themselves. International law prohibits arming merchant ships. An armed merchant ship would be denied port in most countries. This has nothing to do with America wanting to extend it’s empire and everything to do with protecting trade routes. Again, this is something that countries have been doing for a long time. There have been pirates taking advantage of trade routes going back to the Silk road and before. Read some history and gain some perspective before ranting about what you percieve as another NWO plot.

I know that this isn’t the article in which to be placing this comment, but I felt that is was important nonetheless. I was listening to Alex yesterday when he was interviewing Tex Marrs. They arrived at the subject of luciferian hand signs and the Codex Magica. It was stated that world leaders and corporate CEOs often give this certain hand sign. I also know that Alex and many of us are Ron Paul supporters. However, I did a little investigating, and Mr. Paul flashes the same hand sign over and over. They needed to get into Somalia, so they cooked up the story about how pirates (CIA and friends) got a hold of an oil tanker for ransome. Excellent plot for a movie or video game, really.
Do you know who the pirates really are? Who in the world is a member of the 322 club (Skull

ANd I belive that this resolution will allow foreigners to occupy Somalia for the sole purpose of suppressing people who are doing what is right. Somalian Seas have been used without payment to the Somalian people. The government is corrupt and complicit so fighters have taken the matter into their own hands. BUt leave it to the U.N. to convict the the victim and blame the oppressed for their oppression. ANd leave it to the militaristic, belligerent, uber-agressive, imperialistic, war-mongering, air rading politicians in Washington D.C. to grant themselves and their partners in crime extra authority. And this is the gist of globalism. Consolidation, centralization and the concentration of economic ,poltical and military power. This is what it is all about. So poor nations like Somalia are defenseless against a U.N. ‘resolution” that sends a foreign cavalry to irrupt into their country.

I am sure these pirates have families and I am sure the women and children will be bombed as well and the U.N. will do it as part of “peacekeeping”. This is what happens when you starve people and take things from them. They are doing anything to survive and this is one of their best ways to do it. It is wrong to hold people hostage, but they have got the shaft for many years in Somalia. No education, no food and not even people to tend to the sick. Just hope innocent people do not have to die for this.

The true story of the pirates is that they were fishermen. During the civil war however, the community on the shore noticed big cases of toxic nuclear waste floating around on the waters, and even coming ashore. Now they complained to whoever listened, but as Somalia had no government, naturally they were ignored. It’s genius of corporations to dump waste in countries where they will get away with it. Just the way things are.
However these fishermen decided to chase the big ships away from dumping. And soon, greed overtook national protection, and now we have the pirates.
Deal with the cause, don’t use the pirates as an excuse to further take away sovereignty of a country.
