U.S. Troops In Homeland “Crowd Control” Patrols From October 1st

U.S. troops returning from duty in Iraq will be carrying out homeland patrols in America from October 1st in complete violation of Posse Comitatus for the purposes of helping with “civil unrest and crowd control” – which could include dealing with unruly Americans after a complete economic collapse.

This shocking admission was calmly reported on September 8th by the Army Times website, which reports that from the beginning of next month the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team “Will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.”
The article notes that the deployment “marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.”
The purpose of the unit’s patrols includes helping “with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack.”
The unit will be on homeland patrol for at least 20 months before returning to Iraq or Afghanistan in early 2010, according to the report.
Training for homeland operations has already begun at Fort Stewart and at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs.
Ominously, the report states that, “The 1st BCT’s soldiers also will learn how to use “the first ever nonlethal package that the Army has fielded,” 1st BCT commander Col. Roger Cloutier said, referring to crowd and traffic control equipment and nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals without killing them.”
The unit would also be deployed to deal with hostile crowds of Americans in the aftermath of a massive economic depression, potential food riots and race riots, if one defines the term “crowd control” to match its reasonably applicable scenarios.

The open admission that U.S. troops will be involved in law enforcement operations as well as potentially using non-lethal weapons against American citizens is a complete violation of the Posse Comitatus Act and the Insurrection Act, which substantially limit the powers of the federal government to use the military for law enforcement unless under precise and extreme circumstances.
Section 1385 of the Posse Comitatus Act states, “Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.”
Under the John Warner Defense Authorization Act, signed by President Bush on October 17, 2006, the law was changed to state, “The President may employ the armed forces to restore public order in any State of the United States the President determines hinders the execution of laws or deprives people of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law or opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.”
However, these changes were repealed in their entirety by HR 4986: National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008, reverting back to the original state of the Insurrection Act of 1807.
The original text of the Insurrection Act severely limits the power of the President to deploy troops within the United States.
For troops to be deployed, a condition has to exist that, “(1) So hinders the execution of the laws of that State, and of the United States within the State, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or (2) opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws. In any situation covered by clause (1), the State shall be considered to have denied the equal protection of the laws secured by the Constitution.”
Is the Bush administration and Northcom waiting for such a scenario to unfold, an event that completely overwhelms state authorities, before unleashing the might of the U.S. Army against the American people?

Training or Not? People only train in order to prepare for something. It is clearly a cause for concern and most probably action from the people of this weak and timid country. No government should ever turn it’s military force against it’s own people. The minute you put military forces on the streets for any reason, training or active duty, people should pay attention. Unless a military brigade is in a parade, there is no reason in the world for them to be on the city streets.

More than likley we are looking at “occupation” in an urban setting. Therefore we should consider setting up our operations center away from the “front” and only allowing small command posts near the Red Zones.
While we still have use of the web, the best course of action seems to be organizing a site that will allow enrollment according to regions. Skills need to be assesed quickly in order ascertain personel for leadership positions.
I would like to suggest, that implimentation of these necessary steps, will provide an ample amount of confidence in all who participate. Plans of action will materialize, streamlined SOP’s will emerge and an effective resistance will ensue.

I use to have unbias support for our troops. Icant say i have any respect at all for any us military personel anymore. The only true heros that are left, are the ones who put there guns down and disobey orders, those are the true heros of today. The ones who died, are not heros, they were pawns and they knew it and still faught, so they got what they asked for. Ive lost total respect for our men in uniform, they are cowards more so they any, just because they kill defensless children doesnt make them tough, and just because there in a war, doesnt make they patriotic. the ones who remain in uniform today are the fools of fools, the dumbest of the dumbest, the shlag at the bottom of the barrel, uneducated, insecure and most of all, COWARDS. These troops are likely not designed to control us, yet. They are for getting us used to the idea of troops being deployed in this capacity. They will have some “disaster” to deal with so they can be seen on the media as a good thing. I support our troops…I don’t support this!

My father tried the other day and was told he could only take out a small percentage of his investments by the federal government. The damned government is telling him to take his loss like a man and love it.
The silver and gold markets are being held artificially low due to supply disruptions by the government.
Warren Buffet has not sold his 129.5 million ounces of silver despite the price drop. Many of the others that are in the know have kept the silver and gold prices low so they could buy it all up at bargain prices.
They killed the economy so the regular people would sell off their gold and silver and they would then swoop in and buy it.
They are getting ready for a complete crash and when you ain’t eating and able to stay warm this winter, remember that you were warned.

Look at this. I wish it was not going to be this way but I knew it and I have been preparing for a long time. YOU CANNOT afford to blink and not pull the trigger when the time comes. These people cannot win a war against the most armed population in the world. You better be ready to do this or you will have no power over yourself. Get armed if you have not, buy ammunition for what you do have already(BULK!!), and have a plan of action in place so you can get to these things. If you have rural property or have family that do; try and talk to them and plan ahead to get there. Other than that, be patient and wait for us to set this thing off when the time comes.

Get a good rifle.
On a budget I would recommend a Savage brand, heavy barrel, with the Accu-trigger. Preferably .308 caliber. Get a good scope with an adjustable mil-dot reticle(Not a crappo $20 scope). Get good scope mounts. Practice with it and zero it at 100 yards. Build a note-pad containing your shooting data. You need to know how many clicks to adjust for bullet drop at any range out to 1000 yards. You can get good ballistic software that will calculate all this for you fairly cheap.
Get a rifle bi-pod. Get a small bag to put under the rear of the stock to control elevation. Even a sock to fill with dirt will do O.K.
Get some ammo.
It is important not to use crappo bullets. Don’t mix and match. Use good match-grade ammo. Make sure it is all the same type, bullet weight, brand, etc…
Buy a good supply of ammo.
Get a good carrying case with shoulder straps that can carry your rifle along with 40-60 bullets and your cleaning kit.
Find an outfit that does not scream PARANOID WHACKO!!!!!!!! Get some jeans and a brown flannel shirt, with a navy blue t-shirt. Maybe a gray tobaggan or ball cap. a good pair of sneakers. Something you could walk 5 miles in if you had to.
The best knife to have is a Leatherman.

I have had this same coversation time and time again and I always felt strongly that the U.S. would not use its own forces agianst its own people. I was in the military as a 0311 a infantry rifleman highly trained in close quater combat and weapons systems and now that Im out I see how the military “draws the line in the sand” so to speak between civillians and military troops. Civilians in the marine Corps are often reffered to as “nasties” the things u might have done as a civillian is looked down upon basically because civilans dont have clothes and haircut regulations uniform regulations and they pound the fact that civlians just dont care that u may die in combat so they are nasty. I SEE NOW WHY they incorporate that into military training. The same reason they would demoralize muslims or any group of people that the country is at war with. IT is easier to kill and break civil liberties of people that are not looked at as people. And they incorporate this demoralzation of civilians into military trianing so that the gaovernment has the capability to use troops against the people

I cant believe that the majority of soldiers would put up with this…I think there is a strong case here for them to “The right to refuse to obey an unlawful order”…I think the next few months are gonna get nasty…I hate to say it, but when they come for you or your guns…thats where the line in the sand is “this far, no further”

…Loading Drills: check chamber visually, sweep mag well with finger(s), look and feel top of magazine for which side round is on, insert magazine, pull magazine to make sure it’s seated, palm-strike bolt catch/release, extract magazine, check top of mag manually for round on other side of double stack, reinsert magazine, pull magazine. Unloading drills: magazine out, safety on, hold rifle horizontally pointing downrange with ejection port down, hold support hand over ejection port while locking the action to the rear and ejecting chambered round. Check chamber visually, sweep mag well with fingers, visually check chamber, hang rifle on tac sling with one hand controlling the weapon, turn and face.
Ready: toe of rifle stock in pocket, feet bladed on center line, finger straight and indexed either behind mag release or on mag well housing, thumb indexed on selector switch in safe position. Body bent at the waist in the direction of the blade, rifle pointed towards target, but with enough clearance over the carry handle and/or optic so that the shooter can see what’s on the ground a few feet in front of him.
High Ready: Body bent at the waist in direction of blade (forward), rifle tucked under shooting arm, muzzle at nose level so the shooter can see over the muzzle. Shooting finger straight and indexed, thumb indexed on selector switch in safe position.
Field Ready: Body straight, one hand on foregrip, one on pistol grip, trigger finger indexed behind mag release or on mag well
Pointing in: From Ready – bring sights up to eye with minimal head movement, the thumb switches selector switch to “fire” while trigger finger finds trigger. From High Ready: the shooter punches the rifle out from under the underarm tuck so as to clear clothing and gear, the toe of the rifle stock is brought back into the shoulder pocket and the sights brought up to the eye with minimal head movement while selector moved to “fire” and trigger finger finds trigger. From Field Ready: The shooter blades the stance and leans in while putting the toe of the rifle stock into the shoulder, bringing the sights up to the eye with minimal head movement while the selector is moved to “fire” and the trigger finger placed on the trigger.
Controlled pair: This is NOT a double-tap. The difference is that the three secrets are employed for each shot. Compensate by holding high for short ranges (3, 7, 15, 25), especially if your optic is mounted high.

On September 30, 2006, the Congress modified the Insurrection Act as part of the 2007 Defense Authorization Bill. Section 1076 of the new law changes Sec. 333 of the “Insurrection Act,” and widens the President’s ability to deploy troops within the United States to enforce the laws. Under this act, the President may also deploy troops as a police force during a natural disaster, epidemic, serious public health emergency, terrorist attack, or other condition, when the President determines that the authorities of the state are incapable of maintaining public order. The bill also modified Sec. 334 of the Insurrection Act, giving the President authority to order the dispersal of either insurgents or “those obstructing the enforcement of the laws.” The new law changed the name of the chapter from “Insurrection” to “Enforcement of the Laws to Restore Public Order.”

Well at 1st I was cautious and leary, but my family has begun to communicate the inevitable and I’m glad, I was beginning to get worried. But folks, you’ve got it right. We cannot let this shit happen to us period. One thing not sofar mentioned is OTV’s (outer tactical vests), and interceptor body armor, with SAPI plates(small arms protective inserts) and kevlar helmets. These items are easily obtainable on ebay, including all the MOLLE and MOLLE II gear currently being used by US forces. Put it this way, I’ve had my vest and kevlar for 3+ yrs, including ammo pouches, frag pouches, first aid pouches,entrenching tool pouch, rifle cleaning kit pouch, and so on…Folks you won’t be able to get this shit much longer so I advise ALL of you to flood ebay and buy the shit out of it. Start with fighting load components and then existance load items. Don’t say I didn’t tell ya. I personally could outfit a squad with everything but weapons(I’m a felon- can’t have any) I would have to agree that to flee the cities is definitely 1st order of the day. Stock up on military camo netting, which is labeled either ‘radar transparent’, or ‘radar scattering’, and the pole systems for these nets. I would recommend a USGI 5gal. water can and jerrycan per person, as well as, AT MINIMUM, at least military 2-man pup tent if you can’t get a better one. The current army 1-man tent is superb if you can get one. For all these items just goto ebay and search for military tent, or military stove, or interceptor body armor, or SAPI plates, or USGI kevlar helmet, or MOLLE II ammo pouch. And if you can find one, USGI face shield/riot mask that mounts to the kevlar, or USGI military 10-man arctic tent w/liner, or Yukon stove. NOW all of you, get set, GO! make ebay’s server crash this evening. MAX out your card before it’s too late hehe. And check this out on youtube- semiautomatic gun GSG-5 22. Lots of things are going on in October. Not only are the military going to patrol/control america/americans…but they put the space shuttle endeavor on the launch pad on Sept 18th. Get this…NASA says that it will be used as “rescue ship” for the upcoming flight of the other shuttle scheduled for Oct 10th.
NASA said it is the 1st time since June 2001 that they have had 2 shuttles ready for take-off.
Could someone please tell me why they have 2 shuttles ready for the Oct. launch? I’m just saying.

If you claim to have faith in God, and in the Gospel, then you cannot advocate the use of violence. Do not only love those who love you, but love your enemies. Yes, the government is corrupted, and abusive to the core. But the Gospel does not justify the use of force!
Choose your sides, but stop misrepresenting the true Gospel. Only LOVE can change this cycle of violence. I understand we want justice for all that has been done in the name of government, but be sure that this day will come. However, it will only come when true followers of the Gospel finally act on their conscious. Our consciouses have been infused with love, we all know what is right and what is not. Act on your conscious.

The erosion of the Posse Comitatus Act through Congressional legislation and executive policy has left a hollow shell in place of a law that formerly was a real limitation on the military’s role in civilian law enforcement and security issues. The plethora of constitutional and statutory exceptions to the act provides the executive branch with a menu of options under which it can justify the use of military forces to combat domestic terrorism. Whether an act of terrorism is classified as a civil disturbance under 10 U.S.C., 331–334, or whether the president relies upon constitutional power to preserve federal functions, it is difficult to think of a domestic terrorism scenario of sizable scale under which the use of the military could not be lawfully justified in view of the act’s erosion. The act is no longer a realistic bar to direct military involvement in counterterrorism planning and operations. It is a low legal hurdle that can be easily cleared through invocation of the appropriate legal justification, either before or after the fact.
Examples of the use of military personnel on US soil:
Civil Disturbance Statutes: 10 U.S.C., sections 331–334. These provisions permit the president to use military personnel to enforce civilian laws where the state has requested assistance or is unable to protect civil rights and property. The scope of the Civil Disturbance Statutes is sufficiently broad to encompass civil disturbance resulting from terrorist or other criminal activity. It was these provisions that were relied upon to restore order using active-duty Army personnel following the Los Angeles “race riots” of the early 1990s.
During the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, over ten thousand U.S. troops were deployed under the partial rationale that they were present to deter terrorism. The use of active-duty military forces in a traditional police security role did not raise any serious questions under the act, even though these troops would clearly have been in the middle of a massive law enforcement emergency had a large-scale terrorist incident occurred.
The use of federal troops in the South during the 1960s to preserve access to educational institutions for blacks was an exercise of the president’s constitutional authority to use military forces in the context of homeland defense. This is the president’s inherent right and duty to preserve federal functions.
Point is that the precedents for “breaking” the posse comitatus law have been around for a long time. I don’t see how this upcoming deployment signals anything horrific – but I may be wrong.

I remember when I was a little kid in DC, after Dr. King got shot, martial law was declared and violence and arson was so bad, shoot-to kill orders were given when the sunset curfew hit (being one of a handful of white kids in my elemetary school, we got a full National Guard escort walking home!!). Tanks and APC’s rolled down the streets , and sporadic automatic fire could be heard most of the night. Entire blocks just a coupla blocks from the White House were engulfed in flames. People were pissed!!

McCarthyism carried to it’s ultimate extreme, military presence in our cities…
This is what Joe McCarthy was probably envisioning back in the early 1950s over the big “communist” scare of that day, had his schemes succeeded. He tried to bring about complete national pandemonium over the communists (the terrorists of the 1950s), and then, at some point, who knows, military intervention might well have occurred. They called it the “Red Scare”. My late father bought into it to such a degree that it effected the clarity of his mind at times. Dad could almost see “communists” rising up out of his breakfast cereal.
Dad built a “Civil Defense” approved bomb shelter. Probably cost him $30,000.00 in today’s money. We had drills on occasion with everyone rushing into the shelter at a few moment’s notice. One night, over mom’s protests Dad made all of us sleep in the thing. Actually, to a kid 7 years old it was kinda fun. Dad rotated can goods and staples out of it about every 6 months for several years. He really thought missiles were coming. Of course, no nuclear exchange ever happened, no Russkies ever attacked us, and the Soviet regime is now bankrupt. Eventually, the walls and structures of dad’s bomb shelter were dug out of the ground and the giant hole was filled in. Now all that remains is a patch of grass roughly outlining where it was…
Looking back now, I believe that it was just a big scare tactic by our government to get people to go along with the idea of a standing army, in violation of the constitution, plus squeeze even more taxes out of folks to pay for the new standing army. The government really had people worked up in those days. It was a rotten trick. The people got fleeced and the bums in Washington cashed in.
Now we got the war criminal G. W. Bush and his gang using Joe McCarthy style tactics to inflame the people against this ubiquitous spook called a “terrorist”. Could it be that GW Bush, Dick Cheney, Condo Rice, John McCain, Joe Lieberman, etc. are nothing more than 21st century Joe McCarthys? Sadly, the people today aren’t as well read as they were 50 years ago (dumbed down by TV), so GW Bush and his “terrorist scare” has made a deeper inroad into the American psyche than Joe McCarthy ever did. McCarthy died about 1956, I think, after being completely disgraced and discredited for his irresponsible behavior.
Perhaps, we should start labeling GW Bush and his gang, a bunch of Joe McCathys which is, I think, in reality, all they are.
It must be remembered that this “terrorist threat” is a government tactic to frighten people, keep them frightened, and to convince people they need to pay ever greater taxes to fight this bogus terrorist threat.
It is a ruthless scheme to perpetuate the robbing of the American public.
It is scheme to impose more government control, and even military rule, if the people begin to react to being driven even further into poverty and starvation.
I hope that the sleeping giant, the honest working folks of this great nation, will wake soon, and wade into the Joe McCathys slinking around in Washington today. We need a serious cleansing of our house of government.

Edmund Burke reminded us that “Evil flourishes when good men do nothing” and he was absolutely right. We’ve seen the role these phony “Christians” play in the advance of evil – which is to roll over and let the doers of evil pass. Therefore, they are the CAUSE of our current plight because they did nothing to oppose the agents of darkness who are now firmly entrenched and in near complete control.
Where “judgement” is concerned, I’ve taken a page from the USMC: “Our job isn’t one of judgement. That’s the job of the Lord God Almighty. Our job is just to arrange the meeting.”

Has anyone else ever felt like many of these talk shows have been taken over in some form or fashion? I got the sneaking suspicion long ago that many of my favorite a.m and f.m talk shows were being given talking points and being forced to report certain things against their will. I also believe the Janet jackson and justin timberlake wardrobe malfunction at the superbowl was completley planned out in order to create new regulations and the delays needed to censor people who may be trying to convey important information. Americans Still Have the Same Option that Their Founding Fathers Successfully Used

If Americans falter, they will waste their quickly closing Window of Opportunity to take their Nation back, by Grid-Locking DC with the 18 Wheeler Rigs and Patriotic Motorcyclist’s. i’ve been an activist since 9.11. i was in the streets for a few years, pretty much any opportunity i could in between working. i stopped when i came close to being arrested. i travel so did not want to be on the ‘no fly list’. personally, i’d like to travel now, right on out of america, but i don’t think i will be due to family obligations.
i read and reseach a lot. like most here, i can see how things were put into place beginning with the events of 9.11. i’ve had dreams that probably scare me more than anything i’ve read – i think that they’re harbingers of things to come. i’ve been talking with people; they either call me paranoid or chime into the conversation. but when do we stop talking and start doing? it seems that for years i’ve been reading comments like the ones posted on this article, but is it all talk?

In mine, I believe I am commanded to act, to confront evil and to stop it so that it does not prevail. To all, I say LOVE is the true power and that the OATH taken by so many is a pledge out of care for what is good and right in this land we call America!
I myself do not wish for a fight and that I have called, emailed, pleaded, challenged to all concerned of their Responsibility and DUTY to the Oath for which they have pledged, from Police, Politicians, Soldiers (I am a Armorer), friends, family and all that are in positions to make a positive effect. I am just a man that loves his country and sadly I must now start preparing to defend this land I care so much about; not from some invading Foreign force but my very own ELECTED GOVERNMENT. This is a fight NONE of us should want but to all that have taken the Oath, REMEMBER this!!

the military has been trained to kill without regard for either enemy or not. The entire killing field known as Iraq, is an illegal/corrupt war. Not really a war. We arent warring with Iraq. Iraq is a democracy…puppet, sure but not an enemy. Who are we killing with the surge? wtf? My son killed 4, 5-6 year olds who were cowering in a dry ditch….who were just trying to figure out what was happening. Shot them in the head. Got an award. He drinks a fifth of jack daily to hide from the shame. Hes getting help, but it has destroyed my son. He left a burdgeoning man, and came home a lifeless shell. I’m not alarmed by the training. I think that until there is an ACTUAL deployment, the LAW will have not been breached. I think that what GEORGE BUSH TRIED TO DO, is EXTREMELY alarming. With that said, i APPLAUD congress in their actions to REPEAL the amendment the President wider discretion in administering the takeover of state law enforcement – a dangerous thing. On the flip side, POSSE COMITATUS LEAD TO JIM CROW, but that is another discussion. Overall, I think that 1) there are A LOT of good people in our government and 2) as long as people like ALEX JONES keep pumping their IMPORTANT and nuanced views, we will know in what ways that we as the people, should pressure or representatives.
BUSH is OVER ! ! And I agree with the Marine… Religion is a form of subliminal control. There is a saying: “Everything in moderation”. Religion? Doesn’t allow for partiality. So, I think it is a fact that we need more real thinkers instead of strict ideologists.

You guys sound like a bunch of gun fanatics who spent there time playing war in the back yard. Children do that you know (I even did it). But I’m a grown up now, I don’t have time to play. I take care of my family which tends to take up the majority of the time. I can’t believe that you guys think arming yourself against trained military would be a smart move. Honestly, you walk down the street with a shot gun in your hand and find out for yourself. You guys are gonna get yourselves killed because you lack the intelligence to use the information give in on this site (which is really quit good, I’m very impressed with the articles I’ve read so far), to accomplish something constructive, perhaps another legal argument for when Bush is out of office.
Hey I’m the first to admit that the past 8 years has been a complete disaster, but you can’t be going around waving your guns at people, doesn’t seem like a very smart plan. Plus if I lose cell phone reception in my area because one of you crazy people thought it was a microwave receiver I’m gonna be really pissed off!
I believe revolution will not be necessary, we have had a good track record of rectifying previous mistakes and you can bet this situation will be fixed. Hey most of you sound like you voted for Bush (well at least some of you, I doubt the rest of you even voted), you don’t sound like Gore supporters to me. Then again the options were pretty slim that year Bush; highly unsuccessful businessmen with very little intelligence, known drug abuser, and texas straight talker (i don’t even know what that means!!!), OR Gore; who is completely green crazy and has no backbone or ability to kiss in public, but an intelligent well respected man who has probably never intentionally hurt anyone or thing. i work for the phone company (AT&T) and my new manager is a former drill Sgt for the army he was in a combat brigade in Iraq and i showed him the army times article and he was like oh yeah i know about this its for martial law. i asked him, “what did we do to deserve martial law” he said Americans have gotten to lazy and take everything for granted and that in other parts of the world people are used to having tanks roll through their yards keeping people in line and he said that’s its time for us to get in line…and i was like “AND YOU THINK THIS TYRANNY IS OK!!!!” and he said they are just going by the book of revaluation and that there is nothing we can do.

This is surreal. I’ve been calling this for some time now and it’s coming ever closer to reality. Imagine if you will, as we are some 42 days til the election of the U.S President, something huge happening. As Redlist says, this is not coincidence. Some hypothetical scenarios such as a chemical, biological or God forbid, a nuclear attack on ANY place in the U.S could cause HUGE economic and social collapse…looting etc (hence the police state?)
This world is going from bad to worse…there doesn’t even seem to be a safe place to go anymore. I wanted to move to Canada last year, but apparently this NAU is on it’s way…then what?

ACCOUNTABILITY is the key, if we can make it that politicians are accountable for there actions within the government than we can counter them at every turn. I am sick and tired of these people calling anyone who believes in armed defense against a bully government a “crazy gun nut”…I’m willing to bet you 90% of you who say such are either Democratic Party members, Liberal doctrine followers, or just outright gun-control advocates. Anyone who wants to mock or criticize a person for believing in defending their family against government intrusion is either a fool, a coward or, sadly, both. Go ahead, think whatever BS suburbanite happy-ending you want, but nothing gives you the right to tell armed citizens to “grow up”. These people are very grown-up, had they not been, they wouldn’t be thinking so deeply about their family’s future and security. It takes a lot of guts to be willing to stand up against one of the strongest militaries in the world, that seems VERY grown-up to me. The system of democratically voting for someone has FAILED, get this fairy tale out your head that voting for Obama is gonna make a damn bit of difference. As was said by Governor Ventura, all politicians are friends behind the scenes, just like pro wrestling. It’s all fighting and debate in the camera’s eye, but backstage, they’re sharing drinks and cutting business deals. The critics need to get over their fear of guns, get this “voting will change things” crap out of their heads, and see how it really is. When something like martial law is enacted, and when it overrides the Posse Commitatus act as mentioned in this fine article, protests are worthless…signing petitions are worthless…the government doesn’t care, they mock and laugh at any of these peaceful public reactions. Right now, what is that?
Wait. Watch. If the goons come to your door to take your guns and to also deliver official notification of your status as a slave, do you have an “extraction team” to get you out so that you and your “unit” can flank the next unit a few blocks over that is doing to someone else what was just attempted on you? Do you have a VHF, UHF, HF or other type of radio you can use when cellular systems are locked down so that you can coordinate movement? Are you mobile, or are you fortified in a structure that can be burned? Do you know how to burn a tank? Do you know the best places to put claymores? Can you knock a man down at 1000 yards more than 94% of the time? Do you want to engage a force that’s inside their ballistic envelope, or would you rather be outside their ballistic envelope with them inside yours? (Would your prefer to have a ballistic advantage?)
If not, these are things to think about. When you’ve thought about them for 10 seconds or so, I suggest you start taking action on that knowledge. Get to the range THIS weekend. Work all that out. Time is short.

Brigade homeland tours start Oct. 1
3rd Infantry’s 1st BCT trains for a new dwell-time mission. Helping ‘people at home’ may become a permanent part of the active Army

The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent 35 of the last 60 months in Iraq patrolling in full battle rattle, helping restore essential services and escorting supply convoys.
Now they’re training for the same mission — with a twist — at home.
Beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.
It is not the first time an active-duty unit has been tapped to help at home. In August 2005, for example, when Hurricane Katrina unleashed hell in Mississippi and Louisiana, several active-duty units were pulled from various posts and mobilized to those areas.
But this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.
After 1st BCT finishes its dwell-time mission, expectations are that another, as yet unnamed, active-duty brigade will take over and that the mission will be a permanent one.
“Right now, the response force requirement will be an enduring mission. How the [Defense Department] chooses to source that and whether or not they continue to assign them to NorthCom, that could change in the future,” said Army Col. Louis Vogler, chief of NorthCom future operations. “Now, the plan is to assign a force every year.”
The command is at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colo., but the soldiers with 1st BCT, who returned in April after 15 months in Iraq, will operate out of their home post at Fort Stewart, Ga., where they’ll be able to go to school, spend time with their families and train for their new homeland mission as well as the counterinsurgency mission in the war zones.
Stop-loss will not be in effect, so soldiers will be able to leave the Army or move to new assignments during the mission, and the operational tempo will be variable.
Don’t look for any extra time off, though. The at-home mission does not take the place of scheduled combat-zone deployments and will take place during the so-called dwell time a unit gets to reset and regenerate after a deployment.
The 1st of the 3rd is still scheduled to deploy to either Iraq or Afghanistan in early 2010, which means the soldiers will have been home a minimum of 20 months by the time they ship out.
In the meantime, they’ll learn new skills, use some of the ones they acquired in the war zone and more than likely will not be shot at while doing any of it.
They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack.
Training for homeland scenarios has already begun at Fort Stewart and includes specialty tasks such as knowing how to use the “jaws of life” to extract a person from a mangled vehicle; extra medical training for a CBRNE incident; and working with U.S. Forestry Service experts on how to go in with chainsaws and cut and clear trees to clear a road or area.
The 1st BCT’s soldiers also will learn how to use “the first ever nonlethal package that the Army has fielded,” 1st BCT commander Col. Roger Cloutier said, referring to crowd and traffic control equipment and nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals without killing them.
“It’s a new modular package of nonlethal capabilities that they’re fielding. They’ve been using pieces of it in Iraq, but this is the first time that these modules were consolidated and this package fielded, and because of this mission we’re undertaking we were the first to get it.”
The package includes equipment to stand up a hasty road block; spike strips for slowing, stopping or controlling traffic; shields and batons; and, beanbag bullets.
“I was the first guy in the brigade to get Tasered,” said Cloutier, describing the experience as “your worst muscle cramp ever — times 10 throughout your whole body.
“I’m not a small guy, I weigh 230 pounds … it put me on my knees in seconds.”
The brigade will not change its name, but the force will be known for the next year as a CBRNE Consequence Management Response Force, or CCMRF (pronounced “sea-smurf”).
“I can’t think of a more noble mission than this,” said Cloutier, who took command in July. “We’ve been all over the world during this time of conflict, but now our mission is to take care of citizens at home … and depending on where an event occurred, you’re going home to take care of your home town, your loved ones.”
While soldiers’ combat training is applicable, he said, some nuances don’t apply.
“If we go in, we’re going in to help American citizens on American soil, to save lives, provide critical life support, help clear debris, restore normalcy and support whatever local agencies need us to do, so it’s kind of a different role,” said Cloutier, who, as the division operations officer on the last rotation, learned of the homeland mission a few months ago while they were still in Iraq.
Some brigade elements will be on call around the clock, during which time they’ll do their regular marksmanship, gunnery and other deployment training. That’s because the unit will continue to train and reset for the next deployment, even as it serves in its CCMRF mission.
Should personnel be needed at an earthquake in California, for example, all or part of the brigade could be scrambled there, depending on the extent of the need and the specialties involved.

The active Army’s new dwell-time mission is part of a NorthCom and DOD response package.
Active-duty soldiers will be part of a force that includes elements from other military branches and dedicated National Guard Weapons of Mass Destruction-Civil Support Teams.
A final mission rehearsal exercise is scheduled for mid-September at Fort Stewart and will be run by Joint Task Force Civil Support, a unit based out of Fort Monroe, Va., that will coordinate and evaluate the interservice event.
In addition to 1st BCT, other Army units will take part in the two-week training exercise, including elements of the 1st Medical Brigade out of Fort Hood, Texas, and the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade from Fort Bragg, N.C.
There also will be Air Force engineer and medical units, the Marine Corps Chemical, Biological Initial Reaction Force, a Navy weather team and members of the Defense Logistics Agency and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
One of the things Vogler said they’ll be looking at is communications capabilities between the services.
“It is a concern, and we’re trying to check that and one of the ways we do that is by having these sorts of exercises. Leading up to this, we are going to rehearse and set up some of the communications systems to make sure we have interoperability,” he said.
“I don’t know what America’s overall plan is — I just know that 24 hours a day, seven days a week, there are soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines that are standing by to come and help if they’re called,” Cloutier said. “It makes me feel good as an American to know that my country has dedicated a force to come in and help the people at home.”

Of course the real big one the “civil war” where a great number of Americans fired on each other. The common thread “the enemy”. HOW MANY, once almost…..The fact of the matter is I have nothing against the second amendment I just don’t believe ANYONE should have access to guns. Criminals and people of lesser intelligence should not have access to guns PERIOD. The difference is my conclusions are usually right and yours well I’ve been hearing that exact argument for over 30 years and it still hasn’t happened yet. I bet a lot of you bought into the Y2K conspiracy too. Hey governments have put pricing caps in the past why is it different today. America uses a lot of oil. I wonder how a nationwide boycott (say no traveling on weekends) of oil would hurt those companies, I bet it would sting a lot, or if we put government sanctions and taxes on off shore rigs. Hey what are they gonna do try and rape us some more, I highly doubt it.
Most of my family live up in Canada. My family doctor lives up there too. Guess I have I higher respect for canadians than I do americans but who could blame me. There considerate, educated and are less violent than average americans. Oh yeah they also have just as many guns as the average american does. You don’t see them calling to arm all civilians and kill the government come tax time do ya! I guess what I’m trying to say the we need be cautious before placing a gun in anyones hands, I for one wouldn’t trust any of you with a loaded weapon especially kingkurtis. He sounds like the type that would shoot the government and then shoot the rich, the jews and then the black and mexicans. I for one am uncomfortable with that result and would rather take my chance with the voting process first. Hey they can’t cheat forever…….I HOPE, otherwise I guess I will actually have to use my guns instead of a display case in my trophy room. I am no coward nor am I ignorant to the ways of the world but I’m also a rational person and unless bullets are flying by my head that gun is staying where it is, I could do a lot more harm to this government by my legal actions then my violent action.

I think the reason that the Army would be used within the states will be clear when they announce on the MSM news that because of the banking emergency there will be no PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION! My problem is with Alex Jones’s credibility and outright lies. It hurts the whole moment and is the very reason I was initially skeptical at this report. It just sucks to have to fact check everything and would be nice to find a fully credible source which I could cite to folks who still think its the Democrats and Republicans running this Nation. The problem is that everyone I have told about Alex comes back laughing at me and armed with specific lies and examples of twisting a story to “make it worse.”
I used to trust Alex until I had a plethora of documented evidence of his deception laid out on my desk- And after some checking I was surprised to see how mislead I was in this “info-war”. Its not that I dont believe that the shits gunna hit the fan. Its that I just can no longer trust Alex and have to fact check everything.

If so, i think that the real reason from what i learned about (cds’s) is that a major credit event has happened to the government and they are about to lose their credit rating which means that they the government won’t be able to borrow money from other countries and thats what keeps this country flowing with debt notes and thats why we are all on the hook for this BS. Think for a minute what is it that they’re not trying to tell the public at large. All of this has happened before. You people seem to think that prior to 1913, when the Federal Reserve was created, America was this pure and perfect Constitutional Republic. Read history people !!! Look up the “Panic of 1873″. The panic of 1873 was an economic collapse which did not need a federal reserve to cause it and it started a 7 year depression where hundreds of thousands lost their jobs and farms. The US federal military forces were always used against the American people on American soil. The third absorbed my division when 2nd armored merged in 91′. Unless the whole division now consists of illegal immigrants, these diverse troops will become a very unstable, unpredictable and ultimately undependable force if ordered to actively perform “non-lethal” anti-insurgency tactics on americans. Command would have no choice but to employ a soviet style “rear guard” ground, air or both, to ensure mechanized and ground troop compliance. Have heart. These are our own sons and daughters, and many of us are their veteran predecessors.
I certainly hope that our military always actually upholds the Constitution that they swore to defend, which includes the protections of U.S. citizens from their own military, and government.
So if they do anything against the interests of the American people at large, they are in violation of their own mandate for existing in the first place, which is to defend America (The People, Of The People, and By The People), and it’s Constitution.

This is absolutely outrageous. The administration has taken the U.S. Army from being the world’s police force to policing the U.S. under martial law. Clearly this was tacked on to the bill after hurricane Katrina with full Congressional support because it sounds like they are trying to help the American people. But the Posse Comitatus Act already contains provisions for such emergencies. It simply requires Congress to act.
The U.S. military could have mobilized in less than 24 hours to assist in disaster relief, setting up shelters, providing food or search and rescue support. What was Congress doing? I was at a small training base in West Texas which was ready to help, but all we could do was provide supplies of water and food to the Red Cross and local churches who were trying to get aid to the people.
This latest bailout plan — oh sorry, “Rescue Plan” — seems rather conveniently timed to coincide with a BCT ready to implement martial law and practice “Crowd Control”. I am mostly concerned with the real purpose of a BCT which is to kill people in combat. I personally wouldn’t fight those guys, they’re good at what they do. The next major role they have is to capture and detain suspects in an urban environment. In this case martial law trumps habeas corpus.
What I’m most outraged about is that our soldiers are being lied to. Col. Coultier and his men who swore to “… defend the Constitution of the United States … obey the orders of the President of the United States … according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice”. It is ILLEGAL to obey an UNLAWFUL order.

Yes, the government has a credit rating. The only thing that makes our money valuable (due to the removal of the gold standard) is trust in the government. Basic fiat money principles. If the government isn’t trusted to repay their debts (redeem paper bank notes, e.g. a credit score), then our money is worth less than the paper it is printed on.

I am an American with firearms, ammo, food stores, water tablets, seed, camping supplies, and silver. I prepare for the worst because my child means enough to me that I want to be able to protect her no matter what. Maybe I’m a paranoid qsycho, but I practice with those firearms, and keep ‘em clean, because the Founding Fathers gave me a right to do so for a reason. I’m teaching my kid how handle a gun with intelligence and responsibility, how to hunt, fish, grow crops (we have a small garden every year), because I think that an American should always be able to take care of themselves with no government intervention. It’s just basic survival, something every human being needs to learn, and did learn up until about 100 years ago.
But I also believe in non-violent protest. We still have a vote (They haven’t declared martial law yet). We still have the power to make our voice heard (even if they just ignore it). These evil people in Washington have spilt enough blood in Iraq, Afganhistan, Pakistan, Georgia, across the world, for us to think that the world needs more of the same… Our children don’t need to see the horror of war in their own homes, towns, and country. As responsible adults, we owe it to them to prevent such atrocities as best as we’re able.
However: Should the government begin martial law, attack citizens, and pre-emptively strike their own country, then its a different story. I would support military action then. But my precautions aren’t there for me to be ready to fight in a military engagement, they’re there for the continued survival of me and my child. I’m a single dad, and would always have my kid with me, not exactly an ideal military man living in a military camp. I’m sorry, but I have a child to think about, and she honestly does mean more to me than this country.

Back in the middle 80’s there was an effort on the part of the government to have NATO troops conduct war games in the U.S.. Nothing ever came of it. But there was all over my part of the state reflective markers on road signs all up and down the county. I was told these were direction and information indicators so that troops who could not read english could know what and where they were going, to do whatever they were here to do. It’s been my opinion that if enough U.S. troops refused to do what the government said do when they saw perfectly innocent people being dragged from their homes kicking and screaming, that the government could call in foreign troops to fill in when our troops quit, if such a thing would occur. This of course is completely against our Constitution and there isn’t anything I can think of that would allow for foreign troops to be putting their hands on Americans. Bush last night was threatening the American people with doom and gloom if we didn’t go along with his New World Order buddies in the IMF. I hope and pray that there are those from both sides of the aisle that will not want to risk their political career for some hairbrain idea that these foreigners have with taking over this country. There are fourteen million gun owners in this country, but that doesn’t mean they would all stand shoulder to shoulder against the U.S. Army and the fat cats in Washington who want everything we’ve got. Can you imagine if there is some kind of quase collapse what the American people will be told by (whomever) is the reason why they have to leave their homes? Yeah, right. And look what happened in New Orleans after Katrina when the gangbangers stayed behind during the storm and looted all these big homes when the levies broke and law enforcement couldn’t get in to stop them. Remember the scenes from downtown when cops were standing there and looters were coming out of stores with arm loads of “shoes”. That’s when Mayor Ray Nagen told the cops to shoot to kill anyone who wasn’t stealing food and other home supplies. That was the only thing he did that was right. Who will come to our aid in these next few days to stave off this take over of our economy? Will our Congressmen/women or Senators have the guts to stand against Paulson and his world bank buddies? I hope so. Otherwise it will be time to lock and load on our own police and military. A couple of years ago there was a situation here in town and I had to write a letter to our chief of police. I told him he had better choose sides right now if there is another terror attack, which side is he going to be on, ours, the people, or on the side of protecting the terrorist rights and the Muslims in town that are harboring and aiding them? Which is it going to be us or them. You had better make up your mind which side of the flag so you stand on. As in this situation, do you honestly believe that our own military would go along with this? I hope they have better sense. It’s like I told the chief of police, “You are either part of the problem, or part of the solution.” Same here.

The fact that you REALIZE that martial law isn’t here yet and that you still believe the system that we have in place CAN be corrected is optimistic and noble in it’s own right. I personally feel comfortable with that wave of thinking. Hey nothing wrong with preparation, and awareness. I wish others on this site would show the same rationality as you do, but I guess the ‘no child left behind’ really lowered the standard of education (thanks Bush). This country was built on the basis of Liberty for all, and unfortunately those liberties have been narrowed by a truly simple minded individuals within the government. Hey we lost our way it doesn’t mean the map was wrong, it means the path we took was wrong. Usually one doesn’t throw the compass out because you got lost. That wouldn’t benefit anyone, instead why don’t we retrace our steps and remove ‘PRETTY much everything Bush has done in this country, and a few misguided steps of the clinton and reagon administration as well’. Look this is the appropriate action, not waving your gun at the politicians, that would JUSTIFY marshall law. Imagine a bunch of people from a small state start arming themselves (let’s say Idaho for arguments sake, nothing personal Idaho I just needed a smaller state), you don’t think if the government hears about that they might go on a campaign to dismantle that threat. I could see it now people in California, New York and Chicago waving there peace flags and promoting that the government remove the so called threat…..Right there is wear marshall law will be enforced.
Guess what I chose to keep my weapons a secret till I know the threat is real. Make little purchases of munitions instead of stock piling in bulk. I have my fair share of weapons and food, but my hope is I will not have to use them ever. I would be happy if I wasted money on all that. However to not have it would be naive and ignorant in it’s own right.

Some of these soldiers will follow orders to shoot to kill Americans but the vast majority will comply only for a very short time and will turn on their commanders and NCOIC’s.

Folks, this was just a FUNDRAISER. Meaning that these people were doing this just for FUN! Imagine what they’re like when truly pissed! I know. I shot that footage. I’ve talked with many of the people at this annual event. I was on that BlueGrass Armory .50 cal sniper rifle, hitting that target a mile out. Sure, there is a duty to know both Old and New Testaments. But you are referring to Ecclesiastes; an Old Testament book, that falls under the Old Covenant.
The entire point of Jesus is to represent the New Covenant. A Gospel of Love. That is why Paul writes in his letters that The Old Covenant leads to DEATH, and the New Covenant leads to LIFE.
The New Covenant is based upon what the Old Covenant laws were based on, BUT the Gospel (New Covenant) embodies a more perfect law. It requires that each believer use his/her conscious to determine right vs. wrong. This is where the Holy Spirit is engaged.
I am not sure whether fighting against the government (using force) is right or wrong, but because I am unsure I cannot take part in it. In MY OPINION, it seems to violate the command of Jesus to Love both thy neighbor, AND thy enemy. The Gospel seems to represent forgiveness, brotherhood, community living, and LOVE to ALL. Using violence is exerting force upon somebody else, and taking Vengeance into my own hands. I have FAITH that The Lord will take vengeance on those who deserve it. As for me, I have no right to judge who is to die, and who is to live.
Furthermore, I do not even take oath to this country, including the constitution. It is my belief that patriotism is an evil, that has and will continue to lead people versus people. That seems, in MY opinion, to violate the command of loving they neighbor. Even more so, We are told that people of ALL nations are all sons and daughters of the SAME father. Therefore, fighting for “my country” is in actually acting out on a belief that “my country” is a better group of people, than another country. That seems to violate the Gospel.
*Even with all that said, I understand that these are just MY OPINIONS. I make NO judgment on any of you. You must do what you think is right.

I heard a interview est. ten-twelve years ago concerning the potential of UN troops helping in Chicago for like concerns. A news lady interview a old man to get his thoughts. She didnt realize that he was a WWII Vet. He told her that he would get his rifle out of his closet and shoot every blue helmet that he would see. Her expression was as they say. (Priceless) That was the only time I ever saw that interview and never to be seen again. I’m sure it was tossed in the garbage.
My question is…..what will you do if our own troops come against you and your own friends and other American citizens???? Are you envisioning them not being American troops, but blue helmets with American uniforms? This is a challenging and painful thought. My son is a Marine. The thought that my own son at some point could be ordered to come against his own country and our citizens is a bit more than I want to try to comprehend at this time.

As the number of citizens largely increases and technology advances the government could easily strong arm property owners, food producers, and everything else you see on the shelfs nowadays. Do you forget? They know more about us than us. They know what we’re buying, how much we’re buying, and where we’re buying it at. Does this really surprise anyone? I mean the alarm has been sounding for years and we have sat by at ease with our remotes and big macs not wanting to rock the boat too much. Martial Law is coming and it may already be too late to stop the machinery that is already in motion. The govs. technology and arms superiority is amazing compared to your shot guns and aks. The gov. has already disperssed semi trucks with radar dishes across the U.S. but no one speaks about it. The gov. is already setting up check points across the interstate and hiway systems but do we holler? No, we wait until the troops and the black helicopters start arriving and then we start screaming for militants to rise up. I say move away from populated areas. At least 50 miles from an interstate. Your closest community should be small preferably one without a local police presence. Learn to grow food and hunt and fish. Stockpile what you will need. We are coming to a place where survival is not a hobby but the only way we can see tomorrows sunrise. Sad times are coming folks and only the blind and the foolish will hide in their hobbit holes and not see it.
