Thousands of miles from Ground Zero sits a piece of steel from the World Trade Center.
Instead of being on display at a public place, it’s in John Jackson’s backyard, 15 miles south in Tenino.
“It kind of makes me ashamed,” said Jackson, who helped design and raise the $80,000 for the construction of the memorial.
