What Do NORAD’s 9/11 Computer Chat Logs Reveal?

In April 2006, journalist Michael Bronner received in the post 30 hours of recordings he had requested from the Pentagon. These recordings, which came as a series of computer audio files on three CDs, had captured events on the operations floor at NORAD’s Northeast Air Defense Sector throughout the day of September 11, 2001. [1] NORAD–the North American Aerospace Defense Command–is the military organization responsible for monitoring and defending the airspace of North America. Its Northeast Air Defense Sector (NEADS), based in Rome, New York, is responsible for monitoring and protecting 500,000 square miles of airspace above the northeast U.S., including the airspace over New York City and Washington, DC. [2] It was within this airspace that the 9/11 attacks occurred, and from the NEADS operations floor that the U.S. military’s response originated. Evidence of what happened there that day is clearly in the public interest and of obvious importance for attempts to unravel how the attacks were able to succeed. In an August 2006 Vanity Fair article based on the recordings, Bronner therefore referred to these “NORAD tapes” as “the authentic military history of 9/11.” [3]
However, the NORAD tapes are not the only record of the actions of NORAD and its Northeast Air Defense Sector on September 11. In her recent book Touching History: The Untold Story of the Drama that Unfolded in the Skies Over America on 9/11, commercial pilot and author Lynn Spencer revealed the existence of other crucial documentation. Yet, more than seven years on from 9/11, this record remains unreleased to the public and its contents are almost completely unknown.
Spencer described how, at around 9:25 a.m. on September 11, Master Sergeant Joe McCain, the mission crew commander technician at NEADS, received a call from the Continental U.S. NORAD Region (CONR) headquarters at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida. Major General Larry Arnold and his staff at Tyndall had been trying to gather information about the ongoing crisis, and wanted to know the transponder codes for the two fighter jets that had been launched in response to the first hijacking. The CONR officer that made the call told McCain to “send [the transponder codes] out on chat.” By “chat,” he meant NORAD’s computer chat system. [4]
NORAD’S COMPUTER CHAT SYSTEM
According to Spencer, the chat system used by NORAD that day was “similar to the chat rooms on most Internet servers, but classified.” It had three chat rooms that could be used by anyone with proper access. One room was specifically for NEADS, and connected its ID, surveillance, and weapons technicians to its alert fighter squadrons, and was where NEADS received status reports on fighter units and their aircraft. Another chat room was for CONR, and was where its three sectors–NEADS, the Western Air Defense Sector (WADS), and the Southeast Air Defense Sector (SEADS)–communicated with each other and could “upchannel” information to CONR headquarters. The third room was the Air Warfare Center (AWC), where senior NORAD commanders from the three NORAD regions–CONR, Canada, and Alaska–communicated with each other. Although NEADS was allowed to monitor this room, it could not type into it. [5]
Furthermore, when a training exercise was taking place, one or two additional chat windows would be open specifically for communicating exercise information, so as to help prevent it being confused with real-world information. [6] This fact is of particular significance, as the whole of NORAD, including the staff at NEADS, was involved in at least one major training exercise the morning of 9/11. The annual “Vigilant Guardian” exercise has been described as “an air defense exercise simulating an attack on the United States,” and was scheduled to include a simulated hijacking that day. [7] According to Larry Arnold, who was the commanding general of NORAD’s Continental U.S. Region, this exercise was only canceled after the second World Trade Center tower was hit at 9:03 a.m. [8]
PAPER LOGS DOCUMENT COMMUNICATIONS
NORAD kept paper logs of the communications that took place in its computer chat rooms. As Spencer described, at NEADS it was Joe McCain’s responsibility “to monitor the chats and keep paper logs of everything that is happening. … These chat logs help to keep everyone on the same page, but in a situation like the one unfolding [on 9/11] they have to be updated almost instantaneously to achieve that end.” [9] These logs are actually referred to in the notes at the back of the 9/11 Commission Report. However, this is only in relation to a single communication made across the chat system. As the report described: “At 10:31, General Larry Arnold instructed his staff to broadcast the following over a NORAD instant messaging system: ‘10:31 Vice president has cleared to us to intercept tracks of interest and shoot them down if they do not respond per [General Arnold].’” [10] This detail makes clear that crucial information was being communicated in the NORAD chat rooms. Yet, to date, we know practically nothing about what else was being discussed in them.
Clearly, the details of the NORAD chat logs for the day of 9/11 need to be made public and must be carefully examined. They may not tell us the full story of the U.S. military’s response to the attacks, nor give us all the answers we require about why the military failed so catastrophically to protect the nation. But they will surely fill a large gap in the puzzle.

Those logs were probably erased years ago. They aren’t gonna leave any evidence behind that would expose what they did.

All the incriminating tapes and disks were seized within hours of the Bush Gang’s attack. Unofficial tapes and notes made by air traffic controllers were destroyed by Bush supporters within Norad and the FAA.

Because there were no commercial planes on 911 at any of the 4 locations…what else would this explain or allow to be predicted following 911?
It would mean that authorities would try to immediately remove and destroy ANY and ALL debris from 911. Did that happen?
It would mean that the criminals who perpetrated 911 will do anything to avoid an investigation…unless they themselves could choose who and what was to be investigated….only as a last resort of course. Was the investigation thwarted, denied, or delayed for any length of time following 911? Did the criminals get to hand pick who would be on the investigation?
No planes would mean there would be serious discrepancies and questions of authenticity regarding any videos taken on 911. It would mean despite the number of alleged videos that would surface AFTER 911, not the day of, that no 2 videos would show the exact same “plane” in the exact same way doing exactly the same thing. For example….one video might show a light plane and another plane that was pitch black. One would show it dive bombing and another showing it going perfectly horizontal. One would show wings another would be missing wings. One would show something “underneath” the plane….another would show no such thing. One would have a deafening roar…another almost an audio whimper. Did that seem to happen with the videos that were turned in AFTER 911?
No commercial planes on 911 would expose the US media to possible fraud, deception, and serious accusations of foreknowledge and complicity. Just talking about video the DAY OF 911….how much video did the world really see? Did MSM show the entire path of the 2nd “plane” on 911…and if so…how much did it capture considering there were dozens of news helicopters in the air at the time of the 2nd strike? How much was shown the day of 911 by MSM…and how did it compare to video released after 911? (The combined footage of the 2nd strike on 911 by the MSM totaled a combined SEVEN SECONDS!!!! From 5 “vantage points”.) The entire world saw only 7 seconds of footage the DAY OF 911. Only days later after the FBI and Secret Service had time to “vet” the videos did they appear….similar to Evan Fairbanks video where he openly admits that FBI took his video from him immediately after he filmed.) Question is….are there serious problems with the authenticity of any video provided by anyone? Because there were no planes…ALL the videos would then be considered suspect and show wide ranging optical differences even though they filmed the identical same thing?
Did someone capture by video the 1st plane striking…..and was it by miraculous luck? Who took it and where are they now? According to historians…the footage was taken by the Naudet Brothers who just happened to be at the most perfect spot in all on NYC with blocked traffic and a false emergency call with the very firemen who would be first on the scene at the WTC’s. (Interesting to note that the company he was with although first on the scene had ZERO casualties on 911….the only company to do so. They were the first in….and the first ones out! The Naudet brothers had personal and professional ties to the leaders of this particular fire company. No commercial planes on 911 would mean that there would never be any verifiable wreckage ever presented to anyone outside of the crime itself. Is that the case? Is anyone on the planet allowed to physically verify ANY piece of airline debris outside of the Bush White House or US government?
No planes would mean that there would be high percentages of witness testimony with much of the testimony saying that it may have been a missile or rocket being completely ignored, ridiculed, thwarted, or in some cased even punished for mentioning. Is that the case? Has the government redacted almost all of the statements regarding precise descriptions of a missile or rocket or something other than a commercial aircraft? Have they legally threatened anyone in military, police, law enforcement, or firefighting from coming forward to give a different version of events and what was seen and done?
No planes would also mean that the buildings were brought down by something other than jet fuel. Is that the case? Does it appear that something else brought 3 separate buildings down in free-fall speed….or that something else impacted the Pentagon or Shanksville? Considering the overwhelming evidence of demolitions at the WTC’s, which by the way, all videos show the EXACT same thing of the demolition….though no 2 videos show the “plane” impact as identical?!!! Because there was no plane there would be no jet fuel. No fires could be attributed to the fuel. There would also be no smell of fuel at any of the sites. Is that the case? The smell of jet fuel at all 4 locations would be overwhelming and possibly last for months and years. (I personally have been to a crash site ONE YEAR after it took place and it still smelled of jet fuel.)
Because there were no commercial planes on 911….all subsequent wars, invasions, laws, murder, renditions, tortures, land grabs, money spent, agencies developed, soldiers killed…would have been in vain and based entirely on a fabricated, orchestrated, and conspired lie. Based only on actions over the last 8 years….does that sound like something the Bush White House would do by any chance? Have there been other examples of psychotic behavior and threats regarding its own citizens by any chance?
What else could be explained by the fact there were no commercial planes on 911? And what are the implications?

Son, you tool, number 1 that is worse than a conspiracy because it would show that the US has ZERO defense even though we spend TRILLIONS on it. The last time I checked Stealth Bombers are now out of date so I wouldn’t call it inneptitude you damn fool. I am sorry, when Osama goes uncaught when there are millions of troops all over the Middle East, over 100 nations, hundred billion dollar space equipment, and air forces, and navy forces all over the world looking for one man, I would believe in Superman alien creatures before I would believe one human man pull that off you dumbo head. You will likely laugh at what is discovered on these transcriptions, if and when released, this systems are JUST LIKE the ones seen on public and popular chat servers, but without the advertising (unless you count military type slang as advertising) and flashy colors. Official messages are sent in official looking manner i.e. EXTREMELY LONG ADDRESSES and hilariously simple but strange date/time groups, but the rest is just servicemen bs’ing where their bosses are unlikely to have clearance to look.
