White House Threatens Limbaugh Over Obama Criticism

The White House struck back hard on Friday against conservative pundits and town hall protesters who have compared the President to Hitler and his policies to Nazism, saying that the critics are “on thin ice” and should “take that temperature down a bit.”
Asked about the breakout of boisterous and occasionally violent protests at Democratic town hall events throughout the country, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs declared that the demonstrators were showing less civility and manners than his six-year-old daughter.

But it wasn’t all fun and games for the Obama spokesman. Pressed on the analogies between Obama and Hitler that conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh made during Thursday’s program, Gibbs’ voice turned stern.
“I know the president feels strongly that we can discuss these issues without personally maligning… that we are doing so in a way that respects the dignity of each individual,” he said. “I think anytime you make references to what happened in Germany in the 30’s and 40’s, I think you are talking about an event that has no equivalent. And I think anytime anyone ventures to compare anything to that, they are on thin ice, and it is best not employed.”
“But I think what the most important thing is, is that we can have a discussion in our democracy about where we want to go,” he added. “The president strongly believes we can do so without yelling at each other, pushing at each other or degrading each other. We have seen some stuff, I mentioned it a week ago, we have all seen imagery that just shocks and surprises us and I think the best thing to do is just take that temperature down a bit.”

It is time to get coordinated … if not on a national or state level, at least locally … I’n not sure if many of you are familiar with the Liberty Tree … here is a quick wiki quote to give you the idea.

Hitler’s health system led to the discovery of tabacco being a main cause of lung cancer. During the public health campaign the countries water supply was cleaned up, ridding it of mercury and lead, and also urged women to undergo regular screenings for breast cancer. Thats whats nice about Europe’s health care system, they urge their citizens to try and better themselves and reward their doctors for helping patients achieve this. Its the complete opposite here. Here doctors are rewarded for turning people off of treatment. Whether people like it or not our healthcare system needs to be changed. When it comes to our current healthcare system and Obama’s new one we will be having a lesser of two evils. The lesser being Obama’s.

The purpose of the $787 mil so-called stimulus bill was to create jobs. I.e. the current adminitration has confiscated $787 mil from US taxpayers to stimulate the economy/job market. The only time Jesus allows for physical violence is from random crime, self defense with zero alternative.
The bible really does say to obey your civil authorities, hang in there with me for one minuet I will explain.
God’s law is love and the gospel is our plea. You obey the civil authorities until they violate God’s love law. Example – You hide that Jew even when Hitler clearly stated not too. If they violate God’s law then you violate their law. I have zero intention of taking my life in my hands by taking that damned flu vaccine. It is a clear and present danger to my health and any Christian should have zero part of forcing someone else to take it. I do not care what the government says.

Semper I feel like I’ve served the machine all my life too. I got scared waking up, then pissed. They say the worst fear we have is the fear of death. I feel like I’ve worked my way through that and I’m not scared of death any longer. But damn it! I’m still scared to die stupid! I want it to count and I want people to know what I stand for. America, it seems, has been given away by our own government one little increment at a time starting from way before I was born. No one taught me this. I had to find out on my own.

I think people are starting to fight back. They will either back down or raise the temperature in the pot significantly. Every man, woman and child is currently $38,000.00 in debt if you divide the population by 11.6 trillion and that is only the current debt we are paying interest on (google “US National Debt Clock)”. If you look at all planned entitlements for the next 20 years, each of us will be on the hook for something like $150,000.00 (50 trillion dollars). There were commercial planes, of that I am certain. There were too many people who actually saw them. I’m not sure what purpose is served denying that commercial planes were used. It is definitely in keeping with what we know of the globalists complete disregard of human life when it comes to achieving their goals. Slamming the planes, whether commercial or otherwise, into the towers claimed innocent lives in order to impose the tyrannical Patriot Act on the U.S. populace. Why, then, is it so hard to believe they would also take innocent life by the use of commercial aircraft. I respect your view, but I will have to disagree.

But how can you trust Rush? For eight years Rush was an apologist for the Bush administration and its draconian policies. Rush is crying foul because the dems are clamping down on free speech, but Bush signed off on the patriot act which eviscerated most of the amendments of the Bill of Rights. I truly don’t understand how one could be for Bush but against Obama. It makes no sense and leads me to believe that Rush really loves tyranny…but with a republican bent.

Great post, ayfa. The policies rammed through by Bush and his neocons should have been protested by everyone who loves freedom and our republic. Dems and Repubs alike should have been horrified by what Bush and his cronies were doing. How people could fall for the so-called “patriot act” is a mystery to me. It’s foolhardy to be in favor of tyranny just for the sake of party loyalty. When a tyrant rears his head and shows his true colors, it’s time for the tyrant and his cronies to be hauled off to jail.
Obama proves he’s no different than Bush and he’s not truly for freedom or any real change. Because if he was, he would do the exact opposite of Bush and bring our troops home and gut all of Bush’s draconian policies. The fact that he’s ramped up the illegal war on terror proves that neither side can be trusted and we need real representatives of the people back in government. Hopefully, that will happen in our lifetimes.

I heard the whole Rush Limbaugh thing. Rush was only defending the town hall meeting-goers after Nancy Pelosi, et. al. had compared them to Nazi’s. He said okay, you want to compare them to Nazi’s?, lets see who resembles Nazi’s more, then he proceeded to list facts, only facts, of what the Nazi’s and left wing extremests have in common (like extreme environmental practices, etc.). I think that regarding elections, the Democrats are the ones who are “on thin ice”, especially for the 2010 elections.

What is wrong with our public education system being run by people with radical ideas? You call them radical. I call them thinking outside of the box.
Abortion: It’s the womens choice.
Birth-control: The government does not have the right to control out sex lives.
Anti-religious: Thomas Jefferson said, “Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man.” And I agree with him. Christianity is shoved down everyones throats all over the world all the time. Soldiers hand out bibles to children in Iraq. In the modern day religious world “true Chirstians” don’t believe that Jews are Gods chosen people anymore. For them to gain entrence into heaven they have to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Over half of the worlds wars through out history has been because of religion. For people in our educational system to give our kids the choice of whether they want to follow a religion or free themselves of ne is something that should be praised. Not shunned.
Anti-gun ownership: I agree with you on that one. Every person has a right to be armed. But there has to be rules.
CAPITALISM: We are a nation of sick, poor, uneducated people. We are sick be cause we have a healthcare system run by greedy businessmen. Businessmen who reward physicians for turning people away from healthcare. Businessmen who worry more about making a profit than helping sick people. People live in poverty because of the top 1% of the nation. We have spent enough money on the War On Terror to abolish poverty in our country many times over. Since 2005, in almost every major educational category, the United States continues to drop among the world’s countries. Our government knows that knowledge is power. A nation that is sick and uneducated is easier to govern than a country that is healthy and well educated.

I wonder if the Heavenly Father approves of Sasha Baron Cohen’s work? He’s jewish and responsible for some of the worst movies ever made. I’m not jewish but if I were and folks were calling us the chosen people, I’d make sure that no talent hacks like Cohen wouldn’t be representing my people to the world.
The job of the Israelites was to be a nation of priests. Now, as I look around, I don’t see them doing that. They do, however, seem to be in banking, politics, entertainment and arms sales. When is the last time any jewish religious figure(besides Jesus that is) taught about the kingdom of heaven? In fact, you’d be hard pressed to find any jewish person willing to even talk about religion.
The African jews in Kenya and Ethiopia thought they were the last jews and never were aware that the jews in Israel even existed. So, if the jews in Israel are the chosen people and they’re supposed to be a kingdom of priests spreading the gospel, they need to get to work. I see plenty of Christians willing to risk their lives to spread the good news of the gospel, where are the chosen people? Where are their missionairies? Too busy trying to provoke a war with Iran, I guess.

But in all, we are all in a bigger plan! G.W. Bush and BHO is just a front man.
Right now we can agree that we have difference in opions.
I really think we are being divided for a purpose and then the masses will be united. They will line up for for imunizations and then later on for the chip (RFID). It is all about control. The government can not be given that much and able to infringe on our liberties. Healthcare is just the beginning. The government has not cared about us (the poor or middle class) for years. Anything they done was to calm the masses and keep control. We have not had a real president since Kennedy. In my lifetime, it was Ronald Reagan- I have my suspicions as he was an actor and had Bush sr. behind him.
I wish no one to be left out and that we can be equal.

I find that most things are propagandized in one way or another. Use your brain and draw your own conclusions, quit relying on others to think and act for you. One of the problems is White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs does not know what form of government we are supposed to have. We are not supposed to be a democracy which is one step away from communism. I am finding very few people know what form of government we are supposed to have and they know very little about our history or the constitution. People can be convinced of any thing when they have no knowledge of our country. Even in here I see very little knowledge of our country.

All one needs to do is find the books written by a professor from Cambridge by the name of RICHARD J. EVANS. Read Vol.2 The Third Reich in Power. The power stucture of the NAZI’s is now being set up in AMERICA today, event by event, law by law in exactly the same manner as in Germany in the 1930″s.
Also is Vol. 1 “Comming of the Third Reich” Vol. 3 “The Third Reich at War”. These books a top knotch history recoords of event. They are thick books and expensive to purchase so check the local library first.
Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Consider the following incident.
When Barack Hussein Obama rolled into town for his – by invitation only – town hall meeting in Bristol Virginia, average citizens, desperate to make their voices heard, gathered on sidewalks and curbs along the route of Obama’s motorcade holding homemade signs opposing ObamaCare.
One of the peaceful citizen protesters sent this shocking eyewitness report to the Internet blog, TheGatewayPundit.com:
“There were several vehicles following the limo that contained the secret service. The vehicles had all the windows rolled down, and back hatches open on the SUVs with the men holding their, I assume assault rifles, machine guns, drawn on everyone lining the streets. Needless to say, it took my breath away at the sight of them, and made my friends and I dizzy with fear…. I turned on a local talk radio program as we were leaving and all the calls were about witnessing the guns being pointed at them.”
Of course, we don’t want to jump to any conclusions. There might have been a legitimate reason behind what appears to otherwise be an excessive show of force… we simply don’t know.
But even if the intent of the Obama Administration was not to oppressively stifle 1st Amendment rights… the message that was left is nonetheless chilling.

I see a lot of you going on and on about a lot of things, but not the topic at hand. Which I thought was our (Americans) thoughts and concerns over the White House apparently stepping on freedom of speech. I don’t much care if it’s Rush Limbaugh or Obama (or a minion thereof). We under our constitution are allowed to voice our opinions.
I find it very interesting how violent the left becomes when the “right” voices its thoughts and opinions. I have seen liberals throw paint on people (Vietnam vets for instance), flour on people, dress up in masks and perform absolutely terrorist acts in the name of vegan ism,animal rights, war protests and the right to 1st amendment guarantees. Isn’t it amazing how it’s okay when they do it (liberals/left wingers), however when some one on the middle to right of the subject simply voices an opposing opinion, or refuses to follow blindly, they become the objects of the most foul treatment.
I am truly sorry that the left wingers must be so one sided. It is a typical left wing argument that conservatives just don’t want to hear a different opinion. Well it certainly looks as though the left is so opposed to a different opinion that they must call names and even become physically violent, as if ‘the louder I am the more right (correct) I am’. It is really quite crazy.
If Obama and his group of people in office do not wish to be compared to Hitler, perhaps they should not give people so much ammunition with which to compare. After all it is only free speech to point out some obvious similarities. We are supposed to learn from the past so as not to repeat the same mistakes that proved to be so destructive, evil and flat out wrong!
I hope for the sake of freedom that Americans wake up to what the government is doing. The government is supposed to do what we the people tell it to do, not the other way round!!! The government is never allowed by the constitution to stifle free speech or criticism of any elected official. Folks, we all know that people have varying opinions of religion, but we do not need to be arguing about religion. We all need to be on the same side with solidarity with the single objective of keeping OUR FREEDOMS from being taken away from us.
It will be a utter disgrace if we let FREEDOM which was earned with BLOOD be taken from us in our generation. It is time to lay down the things that divide us and stand as brothers with a united mind and voice, taking no thought for race, color, religion or social status.
The comments made by the white house were a direct assault on OUR FREEDOMS. If we let one brother be silenced we will all be silenced.
I beg to ask the question, that if by chance the temperature is not turned down by individuals like Rush, Alex Jones, Michael Savage and others what will be done to them? We need to be asking these kind of questions when threats are made against our FREEDOMS.
I look for them to eventually implement martial law to protect those things which they have stolen from us. If we do not rise up as a single massive wave of opposition when that time comes, we will be dismantled and carted away one by one. We have but one shot to protect OUR FREEDOM, if it is ever completely taken by force aka martial law we will probably never get it back.
