WHO Director-General Dr Margaret Chan met with flu experts at 6:00 a.m. EDT today in Geneva to discuss the spread of the novel virus, and since yesterday the escalation to the highest level of pandemic alert has been widely anticipated.
The move would reflect the continued spread of the virus around the globe, despite quarantines, school closings and other measures designed to keep it in check. It would be the first official pandemic in more than 40 years.

Just curious: how many deaths have actually occured from this “swine flu”??? uhhh no i dont know about the rest of the world but australia has hit the 250+ mark and for you smartasses thats confirmed h1n1 there have been less than 1000 deaths already caused by various other seasonal flu types but none have independently caused 250+ deaths, those who have died from seasonal flu have already had various prior conditions that left them susceptible to even the most modest forms of the flu virus , the h1n1 is slowly building a portfolio of deaths of healthy children, elderly who were “supposedly” very healthy and a few grown men and women who should not have died from it. if you think im lying my uncle and two cousins live in a suburb of sydney and they say they are beginning to see some extreme measures taken to try ensure it doesnt spread, they claim theyre a stones throw away from neigherhood checkpoints and group quarantines.

all these deaths from the ’swinef lu’… people had chronic illnesses along with it.
as well as forensic evidence have YET to prove any of these deaths were DUE TO SWINE flu.

seasonal flu kills 8 to 10,000 in the UK alone each year (they may have other illness too) swine flu has killed just 124 ish. hardly worth giving everyone a shot, even if only 1pc have side affects from the vaccine(like death) thats 60,000 people just in the UK, something stinks and its not the swine

From my understanding of the Bible, I believe we would be raptured just before the 7-year tribulation begins. But it’s getting rather frightening, seeing all thes things happening, and still He delays. The Bible also says that He is not willing that ANY should perish, but that all should come to repentance. I’ve lived 53 years and never seen God late. Last-minute often, but never late.
In Revelation the unrolling of the scroll detailing the events of the tribulation and the wording of the chapters seems to indicate a switching back and forth (like scenes in a movie) between heaven and earth. The saints in heaven vs. the nations still on the earth. So I’m sticking with that.
Revelation 9:3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. 5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
It doesn’t say how long the sting will last, but these demon locusts have 5 months to do their dirty work. No one has ever seen anything like this because they will come out of the pit of hell.
This sounds like a horror movie, but it will be real, and it’s coming. Where do the script writers get a lot of their hideous plots? I’ll leave it to your thoughts.
The apostle John had to relate in his terms things he was seeing in the future. I’m focusing on Revelation because that is where we’re headed. If John had never seen a tank firing its gun, how else would he describe it except as a fire-breathing dragon? And the army of the east, 200,000,000? That could only be China. He heard the actual number of them.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I’m not sitting back and doing nothing. Time is short, and there is work to be done.

Im no doctor so perhaps someone can enlighten me… suppose you have swine flu, its mild and you survive without antivirals, you should then have a natural defence against any future nasty versions of the same strain?
If however you get sick and take tammiflu, it kills the virus but you dont get immunity to it?

also if you really wanted to kill off the population, wouldnt you start with the type of people that may give you trouble, those that take the antivirals are the type of people you want, easy to control etc. So release something really nasty to kill off the non believers, who wont take the shot first and then you are free to cull the rest at your leisure??

They were sicker than dogs while I ?
I just had light reactions to the Flu strains that were passing through this Area.(headache, diareaha, but no vommiting.
They on the other hand had all the symptoms of extreme Influenza even after the shots?
Though they got over their sickness quicker? It seemed to slow down their reaction capabilities, and thought processes.
I was sicker Longer(1 Month) , but it was more like a cold than Influenza

I was force-vaccinated in the Army in 1976. The best shape of my life, and I was sicker than a dog. Many GIs going to the ER with 105 degree fevers. I heard a couple died at Jackson.
I will never take another vaccination for anything, not even tetanus. I think their vaccinations are bogus, and I believe that a lot of my health problems are vaccine-related. Plus all the poisons in the environment, including the food. I’m highly “allergic” to MSG, I won’t gross anyone out with the reactions. I just “love” the migraines I get from aspartame. (sarc)

The truth of the matter is, if martial law was declared, it wouldn’t likely be until this winter. The summer months historically weaken influenza strains which then rebound stronger in the fall and winter months, if at all.
So things wouldn’t potentially get bad for another 4-6 months.

I am wondering how this type of “designer virus” will play out on the tapestry of a manipulated GMO diet.
Seeing as how GMO’s are “designer – protein specific,” it makes me wonder if they can turn portions of the human race into selective-selected types of human Petri dishes.
When people die during a pandemic, will it be because it’s a deadly virus, or because groups of people will have been turned into selective-preselected Petri dishes of death by feeding them GMO’s that better feeds a designer virus?
Also consider how GMO’s can alter and specifically weaken one’s imune system. There is clearly room for undisclosed manipulation of a covert eugenics program when combining viruses, vaccines, in conjunction with GMO’s, as a possible multiplier.
If a covert eugenics program is being engineered, it would be most convenient for the perpetrators to employ multiple means of obfuscation involving the complexities of physiology, cross species transmission, GMO’s and designer viruses that seek out the right dinner bell, and so on. That way everyone invovled can pass the buck in the debate.

Good thinking. Agenda 21 is hand to glove with this. Monsanto and the rest of the GM foods have been on mandate to take all possible nutrients out of the food. Perhaps even adding modified chemicals to react to the designer viruses. I bought Vitamin B6 and multiB for my wife and I. It fights off viruses. If you have noticed the FDA first wants VB to be classified as a drug. Eventually all vitamins. B6 is water soluble so it leaves the body quickly. Don’t overdose until rashes show up but take one a couple of times a week. Not that i am trying to tell you what to do it’s just advice from someone who isn’t trying to kill off 80% of humanity. WHO: Swine flu pandemic has begun, 1st in 41 years

GENEVA — The World Health Organization declared a swine flu pandemic Thursday — the first global flu epidemic in 41 years — as infections in the United States, Europe, Australia, South America and elsewhere climbed to nearly 30,000 cases.
The long-awaited pandemic announcement is scientific confirmation that a new flu virus has emerged and is quickly circling the globe. WHO will now ask drugmakers to speed up production of a swine flu vaccine. The declaration will also prompt governments to devote more money toward efforts to contain the virus.
WHO chief Dr. Margaret Chan made the announcement Thursday after the U.N. agency held an emergency meeting with flu experts. Chan said she was moving the world to phase 6 — the agency’s highest alert level — which means a pandemic, or global epidemic, is under way.
“The world is moving into the early days of its first influenza pandemic in the 21st century,” Chan told reporters. “The (swine flu) virus is now unstoppable.”
On Thursday, WHO said 74 countries had reported 28,774 cases of swine flu, including 144 deaths. Chan described the virus as “moderate.” According to WHO’s pandemic criteria, a global outbreak has begun when a new flu virus begins spreading in two world regions.
The agency has stressed that most cases are mild and require no treatment, but the fear is that a rash of new infections could overwhelm hospitals and health authorities — especially in poorer countries.
Still, about half of the people who have died from swine flu were previously young and healthy — people who are not usually susceptible to flu. Swine flu is also crowding out regular flu viruses. Both features are typical of pandemic flu viruses.
The last pandemic — the Hong Kong flu of 1968 — killed about 1 million people. Ordinary flu kills about 250,000 to 500,000 people each year.
Swine flu is also continuing to spread during the start of summer in the northern hemisphere. Normally, flu viruses disappear with warm weather, but swine flu is proving to be resilient.
The decision might have been made much earlier if WHO had more accurate information about swine flu’s rising sweep through Europe. Chan said she called the emergency meeting with flu experts after concerns were raised that some countries like Britain were not accurately reporting their cases.
After Thursday’s meeting, Chan said the experts agreed there was wider spread of swine flu than what was being reported.
Chan would not say which country tipped the world into the pandemic, but said all countries and experts were agreed that it was time to declare a global outbreak.
WHO said it was now recommending that flu vaccine makers start making swine flu vaccine. Drug giant GlaxoSmithKline PLC said they could start large-scale production of pandemic vaccine in July but that it would take several months before large quantities would be available.
Many health experts say WHO’s pandemic declaration could have come weeks earlier but the agency became bogged down by politics. In May, several countries urged WHO not to declare a pandemic, fearing it would cause social and economic turmoil.
“This is WHO finally catching up with the facts,” said Michael Osterholm, a flu expert at the University of Minnesota who has advised the U.S. government on pandemic preparations.
Despite WHO’s hopes, Thursday’s announcement will almost certainly spark panic about spread of swine flu in some countries.
Fear has already gripped Argentina, where thousands of people worried about swine flu flooded into hospitals this week, bringing emergency health services in the capital of Buenos Aires to the brink of collapse. Last month, a bus arriving in Argentina from Chile was stoned by people who thought a passenger on it had swine flu.
Chile has the most swine flu cases in South America, and the southern hemisphere is moving into its winter flu season.
In Hong Kong on Thursday, the government ordered all kindergartens and primary schools closed for two weeks after a dozen students tested positive for swine flu — a move that some experts would consider an overreaction. The decision affected over half a million students.
In the United States, where there have been more than 13,000 cases and at least 27 deaths from swine flu, officials at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the move would not change how the U.S. tackled swine flu.
“Our actions in the past month have been as if there was a pandemic in this country,” Glen Nowak, a CDC spokesman, said Thursday.
The U.S. government has already taken steps like increasing availability of flu-fighting medicines and authorizing $1 billion for the development of a new vaccine against the novel virus. In addition, new cases seem to be declining in many parts of the country, U.S. health officials say, as North America moves out of its traditional winter flu season.
Still, New York City reported three more swine flu deaths Thursday, including one child under 2.
In Mexico, where the epidemic was first detected, the outbreak peaked in April. Mexico now has less than 30 cases reported a day, down from an average of 300, Health Secretary Jose Angel Cordova told The Associated Press. Mexico has confirmed 6,337 cases, including 108 deaths.
Cordova said he is concerned that other countries are not taking drastic measures to stop its spread like Mexico, which closed schools, restaurants, theaters, and canceled public events after the government detected the epidemic in late April.
Many experts said the declaration of a pandemic did not mean the virus was getting deadlier.
“People might imagine a virus is now going to rush in and kill everyone,” said John Oxford, a professor of virology at St. Bart’s and Royal London Hospital. “That’s not going to happen.”
But Oxford said the swine flu virus might evolve into a more dangerous strain in the future. “That is always a possibility with influenza viruses,” he said. “We have to watch very carefully to see what this virus does.”

The Supreme Court ruled on the Vioxx scandal that killed 140,000, that Big Pharma does not have to turn over their R&D trial testing results, even when the R&D trials prove a medication is a potential killer with serious risks.
I wonder if this also applies to vaccines which will become mandatory if we go to a regulated, National Health Care system? The front line defense of the National Health Care Plan, is to EXPAND ALL VACCINATION PROGRAMS, making them mandatory, so that Big Pharma will not have to gamble with profit losses, patens and the stock market when the masses do not like or want their products.
One of Hillary’s big issues was with the fact “not everyone participates” and so National Health Care policies must force everyone to participate, reducing the financial risks that Big Pharma must gamble when making new drugs and vaccines that may not be wanted among the masses. If National Health Care uses mandatory vaccination programs to “stabilize,” Big Pharma’s overhead cost, as a means to reduce cost, the implications are really scary with what we will be forced to take in the way of mandatory vaccinations.
The Pandemic flu certainly helps to promote such a plan, on behalf of Big Pharma, where legislation along with precedence as played out in our courts, clearly demonstrates zero accountability and a real risk to the general public. This is clearly a fascist mindset coming from our leaders.
We are clearly dealing with an UNDISCLOSED AGENDA, that’s very cleverly thought out way ahead of time and being implimented, as the H1N1 arrives in the nick of time to sell the idea.

Speaking from a medical background, I wonder if getting the swine flu and/or getting the flu shot will somehow ’sensitise’ and increase the actual bird flu uptake (the real danger here) on a human to human basis. Is the swine flu just a work up to a worse scenario? All I know is this… pigs are a great incubator to combine two essentially non-compatible viruses so they are more transmissible to humans and there seems to be a wealth of googleable info on the more recent ‘mistakes’ of certain bio-med companies and Alex has covered some of this info already. Any visiting virologists to the comments column?

I can’t say for sure here because in W NC we’ve had a drought the last 3 years. We’re now officially out of the drought. But the storms moving through in the last couple of weeks have been WAY more severe than I remember any in the last 6 years. I guess they can actually make rain now. But after the rain, the skies used to be clear and blue. Now they’re the same sickly chemtrail crap as if the rain never happened.
I HATE this!
If they start quarantine, I’ll quarantine my butt in my own home, thankyouverymuch!

Yes last year Colorado was in a drought, as it has been for the last 15-18 years. June has been hot all those years. This year we are cool and getting almost daily rainfall in the afternoons. Last sunday there were 5 tornadoes that touched down, with garden damaging hail.
I guess they missed the mark, because today we had again, rain, hail, and rotation, but no tornadoes. The farmers lost hundreds of acres of crops, some salvagable, some can be replanted, but there are still hundreds of acres that were a total loss today.

Well actually in the U.S. the death toll from swine flu, as reported bt the CDC, is at 27 deaths.. that is until i check it tomorrow, since its updated every friday now. but im sure the number of deaths is higher then reported. just as the number of cases is probably higher then reported.

Without a doubt, H1N1 is a flu, man made or not. Yes, it does kill, but other strains of the flu kill aswell!
The thing that is bothering me is, some people are saying we will be losing millions of people.
It’s quite possible, but consider this.
The most deaths were in Mexico. Mexico has poor living conditions compared to the United States.
Mexico does not have better doctors and hospitals than the United States. I’ve also heard that a pig is a common pet in Mexico.
They live in poor living conditions. We do not. Get over it. If the government decides not to have a mandatory vaccination, we will not die. We do not live in dirt, with pigs running around our houses. We have common sense. We know when to get away from sick people.
Use your head. Not everything on the internet is true.

EUGENICS? I have seen the AJ theories of this in his docos but I think it’s eugenics thing of the past. Please, if anyone has some valuable EVIDENCE to support this modern day eugenics theory, please (and this isn’t an invitation for flaming or smart-arsed attitudes, but actual discussion) present it here for me to read.
From the perspective of someone living in the west where capitalism, greed and consumerism is rampant, it makes no sense to cull the population; regardless of what your ideas are on the value of human life, all people, whether they be doctors or lawyer, or welfare bludgers or bums–they’re all valuable, why kill them off? People = consumption, money, profit, jobs… common sense tells me eugenics is a load of garbage, and the crummy little stones in Georgia can’t tell me otherwise.
