Willie Nelson Announces 9/11, Anti-War Event on the Alex Jones Show

In a landmark and impromptu interview today on the Alex Jones Show, music icon and genuine American hero Willie Nelson addressed the impending attack against Iran and Dennis Kucinich’s article of impeachment, scheduled to go before the House Judiciary Committee on Friday.
Calling in from a music tour venue in Council Bluff, Iowa, Willie stated that George Bush and his neocon minions cannot be allowed to get away with fraudulently invading Iraq and engaging in mass murder without "even a slap on the wrist." Impeachment, according to Nelson, is a "minor way" to deal with crimes of such a horrific magnitude. However, supporting Kucinich’s brave and tenacious effort in the House of Representatives "might slow the guy down" in regard to the planned invasion of Iran, tentatively set for either September or October, according to numerous insiders and experts.
Willie admitted he does not know if it is too late to stop the drive toward confrontation with Iran. If the attack manages to go forward he warned "America will not be the same America" and the country will be "in for some tough times," including the distinct possibility of an economic depression and the imposition of martial law.
It is imperative that we turn the country around, Willie averred, and once again "set ourselves up as peacemakers," not as arbiters of endless war, mass murder, and engineered chaos. It is time to get off the path Bush and his neocon puppet masters have steered the nation down over the last seven and a half years. In addition, we must deal decisively with the "guys pulling the strings" and not allow them to simply "throw George under the bus" and escape justice. It is important that Dennis Kucinich "keep hitting them on the sore spot" and eventually set the stage to bring every last criminal neocon to justice. Success in this effort depends to a large degree upon circumventing the corporate media.
In regard to the events of September 11, 2001, Nelson said it does not take a "German scientist to realize we were hit by some inside people" on that day and it will take dedication and more concerted activism to eventually bring the perpetrators to justice. Earlier this year, Willie went on the Alex Jones Show and declared his belief the WTC and Building 7 were imploded like a "casino in Las Vegas" brought down by demolition. "They’re trying to tell me that an airplane did it and I can’t go along with that," Nelson told Jones and his audience on February 4.
Finally, in response to a caller from Arizona, who mentioned Willie’s Live Aid and Farm Aid concerts, Nelson indicated he would be interested in volunteering to participate in a 9/11 truth, anti-war, and impeachment concert event. Such an event would "give the people a venue" and a "chance to stand up" against the government. After the interview, Alex discussed the issue off-air with Willie and it was decided the details for such an event would be worked out in the next few days and the event would take place in either New York or Austin, Texas.

I suggested a “Truth Aid ‘08″ concert weeks ago, after
Jim Corr went public. I hope that lots of big bands are
approached, it could raise a lot of money for this movement.
Successful musicians have the time/money to investigate
9/11 etc: I bet that many know the truth. The Corrs would
be a good opening act.

If the concert will be in NYC I being from Massachusetts will not only be able to go but as a marketing and advertising major and a salesman almost my whole life I will do all I can to see that a ton of people from New England attend. Please keep us informed and try to get as many bands and musicians, actors, actresses, 9/11 workers, families of 9/11 victims, engineers, architects, demolition experts, Ron Paul, Dennis K. , Generals and Veterans against the war and any other important segment of the population that will add to this knowledge and peace based event. Finally… finally someone has the guts to organize an event to expose what a majority of people already know. 9-11 was an inside job and impeachment is appropriate for the lies and abuse of power that has taken place. This takes the issues out of the political arena and puts it right where it belongs. In the American people’s hands for all to see and judge.

We live in a celebrity driven culture and every additional star that joins the truth movement takes us that much closer to a legitimate 911 investigation. I know Howard Stern can be a jerk, but if Alex were to appear on his show and make his case for government involvement in 911, I think that could be the last nail in the coffin of the Cheney-Bush reign of terror.

This is definitely a huge step forward in the pursuit of truth and justice. What we need are several events like this with plenty of planning and advertising so our sleeping masses have a greater opportunity to attend and absorb the truth that 911 must be seriously investigated. That is, set a date and time in advance and get the word out to as many as possible as to where and when. And by all means, keep the tickets cheap so as to allow more potential truth seekers an opportunity to attend such events. Alex, here is yet another opportunity to spread the truth…go at this aggresively! Everybody do your part…don’t just talk the talk but also walk the walk! Tips for identifying disinformation artists.
1. The first and foremost sign that an Internet poster is a disinformation
artist is abusive language. A shrill tone that attacks a person rather
than a theory is a bad sign. So also are terms of abuse for a theory
rather than a person. An example: “The nuts who push the lunatic
no-757-at-the-Pentagon theory are probably off their meds.”
2. Excessive zeal in attempting to take an option off the table is another
bad sign. Suppose, for instance, that someone thinks they have identified
a particular type of engine at the Pentagon. Attempts to close the
discussion without exploring all possible alternatives (retrofitted part,
salted evidence, etc.) indicates an agenda of throwing serious researchers
off the track.
3. Calls for unity in the Truth Movement as a basis for failure to pursue
a line of inquiry are another bad sign. There is no Truth Movement. All
sorts of figures waltz into the discussion calling themselves members of
the Truth Movement, and then attempt to limit discussion based on a plea
for unity. Example: “We can all agree that all three WTC towers were
brought down by demolition charges. But any attempt to identify the
explosives as possibly nuclear, thermite/thermate, RDX etc. is just
divisive. In the interests of unity in the Truth Movement, we must stop
speculating about exactly what type of means may have been used to bring
down the building.” The fallacy of this approach should be apparent. The
use of micronukes, for instance, would open up new vistas for
investigation. If there is any evidence for such use, attempting to sweep
this off the table is a bad sign.
4. Any use of threats is a bad sign. If one’s case cannot stand on its own
merits, use of threats is a sign of an agenda different from that of a
search for the truth.
5. It must be remembered that the stakes in the information game are the
highest possible. Our perceptions of the world determine our strategies in
dealing with the world. Throughout human civilization, there have been
highly successful, integrated programs to make masses of people act
contrary to their actual interests through the presentation of false
pictures of the world. Those pictures must be reinforced by multiple,
apparently independent sources, who in turn expect a share of the profits
from the deception. Those profits typically include security from injury,
financial profit, sexual domination, status, rank, land, etc. The losing
side in the propaganda war, whether they are called heretics or lunatics,
may expect precisely the opposite outcome.
6. It must be emphasized that this process can be regarded as a game. It
is a deadly serious game, but a game nonetheless. One is not insulting
someone if one comes to the conclusion that this person is a conscious
disinformation agent. A helpful analogy would be that of a football
huddle. If one notices someone with the wrong color jersey in your huddle,
the fact must be noted and corrected. Nothing personal. He is just on the
wrong team, and our own team needs its privacy and trust to deliberate
effectively.

Willie Nelson said on the Alex Jones show yesterday how wrong it was that George Bush could get away with breaking the law just because of who he is, and commented that if he got caught smoking a joint on the street, he would go straight to jail. Interestingly enough, Willie Nelson has gotten caught with more than a joint on more than one occassion, (last time I think it was a few pounds of marijuana on his tour bus) and he’s always been given a slap on the wrist (as opposed to jail time) BECAUSE HE HAPPENS TO BE WILLIE NELSON. This old fart may be a good songwriter, but he’s a much better HYPOCRITE than guitar player. Go ahead and tell me to stop picking on Willie. It’ll make for a good pun about a HYPOCRITE of a country music legend.

George Nelson, you’re wrong. There is a truth movement. Try reading some books. It’s very obvious there are glaring problems with the ‘official’ accounting, and we all know how well the government has lied to all of us thru the criminal run media. Who would make a good venue for this aside from Willie? i honestly don’t know of a lot of bands that are “truth seekers” — I wish Lynn Strait was still around, he seemed like one from some of his music, check out the song “snooze button’ by Snot, i think it fits the bill quite well…..maybe a smart guy like Marilyn Manson could headline, he would bring in a huge crowd and has been talking about government since the late 80s in his tunes, “god is in the tv” ect…Aside from that I dont really no of a lot of bands…..Would Tool be a good fit for something like this, Maynard is extremely bright man, he must know the truth on the subject, too smart not to know the obvious

Austin would be such a good venue since Texas is the heart of the Trans Texas Corridor, aka “North American Union’s Superhighway” and already has many supporters of this cause. Also, Austin is very close to Fort Hood, the largest military installment in the U.S.. Who better to bring the message to than our soldiers.

RidetheSpiral, someone needs to get on the phone to Roger Waters. I bet he’d have something to say about this. He was the only artist I remember that vehemently opposed the first Gulf War at the time it happened and made an album about it.
As far as artists that would fit in with Willie’s Truth Aid? I don’t know. It would be eclectic. Could we get RATM back together? Immortal Technique has a strong political message. Maybe the Boss?

#71… Concerning bands that might be interested… A Perfect Circle has freely hosted/aired “Counting Bodies Like Sheep” and “Imagine” since before the ‘04 elections, excellent musical commentary on fascist-bushit… This group is independent and serious and has a huge following. They should be formally invited.
I’d also recommend the group Faithless, though they’re British, they have a large US following and have written/produced a large number of anti-fascist popular songs including “Weapons of Mass Destruction”, a commentary on misinformation, ENRON/Halliburton, and also the video-music piece “Bombs”… These people are passionate, serious and popular, perhaps very inclined to participate. #76 refers to Roger Waters who would also be a good Warrior-against-War.
As I said earlier on this thread, we need a HUGE SINGLE EVENT before the elections to draw attention to, IMO of Priorities, 9/11, Impeachment and the Illegal Wars.

Now that she has secured the Green Party presidential nomination, Cynthia McKinney should be invited to add her voice to this already stellar lineup of proposed speakers. The opportunity to address a huge 9/11 Truth/Anti-War Fest? She would eat it up. I also agree with the perception that the Fest should not take place in Austin. Willie sponsoring another big benefit on his home turf is not going to get even a whisper in the corporate media outside that region. It should be either in NYC (in Central Park, right in the yuppies’ neighborhood, in the city of the primary crime) or in DC. Any other city is going to reduce the potential impact. As to whether it’s NYC or DC, we have to decide to whom we want this event to send the biggest message.

Everyone must read post #64! I completely agree with number 3. Within seconds of the demolitions of WTC’s 1 and 2 I could see clearly that it was a controlled demolition. ( I was bit of a hobiest of that kind of stuff….bridges and stadiums being demolished etc…certainly no expert but I know a demolition when I see one). The question I asked within minutes of 911 was WHO planted those explosives and when were they (government officials) going to investigate and test for them. I was astonished to find out that the authorities were NEVER going to investigate, test, confirm, verify ANY explosives inside the WTC’s. I couldn’t believe it. I kept thinking that the only people who would give that order are the ones who planted the devices? I have attended some of these WE are Change and 911 Truth meetings and everytime I asked “then WHO planted those detonations” I was met with backlash and being “devisive”. It never made any sense. Its like saying JFK was shot and then NEVER asking…”then WHO could have shot him”? I have come to realize that these so called “truth movements” are shills to keep people from asking the real questions.
Guess who else developed groups to go around and provide citizens with an outlet for voicing opposing opinions only to make sure that you never asked the important questions and rediculed anyone that did? Hitler….during WWII.
