Witnesses allege police brutality in death of tasered man

A Pennsylvania man has died after being tasered by local police, and the Civil Rights section of the FBI’s Pittsburgh office has now opened a preliminary investigation. Although the cause of death has not yet been determined, witnesses insist the man was kicked and beaten by police officers after he was forced to the ground and handcuffed.
Residents in Swissvale, PA had called police after they observed 37 year old Andre Thomas knocking on doors in the middle of the night and yelling that someone was trying to shoot him.
According to Allegheny County Police Assistant Supt. James Morton, when the officers arrived Thomas "was like yelling and screaming and acting really erratically, and they didn’t know what the situation was. So they asked him just to calm down and so forth and he made a movement towards them. So they had to tase him."

However, witnesses insist that Thomas was then brutalized by police, with one telling KDKA News that "after he was tased and handcuffed, one officer used a football-type kick and stomped him in the head."
Another woman recounted to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette what she saw after four officers forced Thomas to the ground. "’They killed that man. They killed him. They killed him,’ she added, her hands trembling. The woman said she saw one officer stomp on Mr. Thomas’s upper back, holding his foot there while the subject lay on the sidewalk with his head hanging over the curb. Another officer ‘reared back and punched him in the head with all his might,’ she said."
Thomas vomited, then lay motionless. An ambulance arrived and he was was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel. Police allege Thomas was conscious at the time, but he was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.
Andre Thomas’s father, Dennis Thomas, now says, "I want to know what happened, what the particulars of the incident were that caused my son’s death."

Where i live i’m surrounded by all these small towns and the police are hiring everywhere. It is amazing …. and today in the paper (union leader nh) there was a situation where a man was arrested because of a warrent and while the swat team was a the house they learn the father of the suspect a free man with a felony record was in a trailer on the property with a gun inside.
The swat team then entered the trailer and shot him 22 times one of the cops i guess was shot once. Its just a wierd world man when this s--- happens… i’m not saying the dude was in the right but damn why did they have to confront the guy with a swat team.

I’m from Pittsburgh and this happens alot. I can’t tell you how corrupt things are here, but I suspect it is that way nearly everywhere nowadays. Terrible state of affairs. These cops obviously are not working to protect and serve the public interests and they will probably get off, assuming they would even take the initial steps in getting them indicted for MURDER.

Ya know the first time I saw a story of taser trouble on this site it was almost immediatly followed by a story of how the goverment wanted to replace tasers with knockout needles. I think the original point was that they wanted to replace taser with needles as to infect unknowing people with diease, or at least so I think. While all this hype on tasers may be showing us the true face of law enforcement we will be in real trouble if tasers are replaced with needles. Any comments, opinions?

Incomprehensible. I’ve read that more and more law enforcement are active satanists. Recurring instances of unfathomable brutality makes me wonder as to the source of the anger and the reason for the abuse. There’s always a source and a reason. If a recurring act makes no sense, then we must alter our examining paradigm. To a reasonable person, this death makes no sense. If the cops are satanists, trying to tap into greater satanic approval and power, this brutality makes perfect sense.

Vigilante justice is what is needed now. The family and friends of the victim need to do some research and find out where these pigs live. They have to go home sometime. I always keep a digital video camera in my car. When the blue lights go on, so does the cam. I set it right on the dash, aimed at the window where the cop will be standing. The police will talk to you differently when there is another camera (one they can’t easily tamper with) on them. I haven’t been asked to step out of my car since I got my own camera.

Here’s some of the proposals I’ve talked about for years on talk radio, and they apply especially
to big city police departments like Chicago, where I live, but they can apply anywhere:
1) on-duty police officers must be in full uniform to have any authority
2) off-duty police officers must be in civilian clothes and cannot carry guns.
An exception to this would be to allow on a voluntary basis detectives or under cover cops to
wear civilian clothes, but they could not carry guns. If the intellligence they’re trying to obtain is
so important, they’ll have to take their chances with pepper spray
3) no swat teams. There is practically no situation the police confront that requires that kind of
a show of force. Even in hostage taking events, you are almost always more successful with
a hostage negotiator. If you need the military, call in the national guard.
4) ban these tasers. They’re deadly killers and we’re treating them like toys.

I’ve said it before on other message boards, if this kind of thing keeps up people are going to stop calling the cops out of fear that the cops will only make things worse and kill people.

Go to your police station,stay outside their property,and just watch the vehicle,watch the cops coming in and out.AND SMILE.That is what I did yesterday.One cop(probably more) was watching me,from his SUV in the parking lot.I was on my bicycle,and heading towards the entrance of the parking lot.When I got to be about five feet from the entrance,the cop in the SUV decided to head towards me.So,I stay still on my bike.After maybe 20 seconds,the cop blew is horn,as to try to tell me what to do.So I turned around.It was so funny, the cop just took off really fast. I kept on turning so I was back facing him,just as he was taking off.I stared at the guy.Just to see his expression. That made my day.Try it.

A few things need to happen if we are to have any chance at all of defeating the NWO and our corrupt government.
#1 We must all be diligent in opening peoples eyes to the truth. Alex is doing a great job, but people are more likely to accept the truth from people they already know and trust. As we “convert” more and more people, the message should get easier for others to accept.
#2 We must get armed and organized. Getting armed is not a problem, as we still have the right to keep and bear arms. With the patriot act in place though, getting organized on a national scale is next to impossible, seeing that anything can now be construed as an act of terrorism.
The best we can do is form small local militias. This can only be done by asking people that #1 know and believe what the NWO’s plan is for us. #2 Are people that you have known for years that can be trusted with your life. The government surely has spies to thwart our efforts.
#3 If I knew that tomorrow morning millions of other people were going to begin the fight, I would be right there with them, and I’m sure everyone here feels the same way.
The problem we have is everyone has their own idea of when the fight should begin, and for most people, it won’t be until their door gets kicked in, and that’s exactly how the government wants it.
If we continue to think as individuals, they will attack us as individuals. If we all think and act together, they will have one hell of a fight in store for them.
A revolution needs leaders with not only the courage, but the ability to declare the start of the revolution. Not to single anyone out, but Alex or others like him that have both the courage and the ability to get the message to the troops.
#4 “First blood” needs to be clearly defined, and respected by everyone. If those lines are drawn, and the enemy crosses them, we react PERIOD. If we aren’t united and on the same page, we will fall as individuals.

I have always heard of the “Lunatic Fringe”, but I never thought I would find it so easily. What a bunch of trash talking, whining, paranoid, little punks we have here! I am not saying that the cops did not do wrong in this event, but I am not convinced 100% that they did. There are always people who fear the neighborhood bully but are quick to jump in front of the camera or microphone and cry for him when he gets his ass whipped by the cops before going to jail.
I don’t know if this guy asked for what he got or not, but there are a lot of people out there who become irrational for a multitude of reasons, from mental illness to bad drugs, with the latter being fairly common. I see him being elevated to the status of Saint by some. Would you really want a raving, frothing, lunatic or drug head in your house, around your family, for very long???? Somehow, I would think not.
What is going to happen is that some of you little back-yard Rambos are going to eventually work yourself into a lather and follow one of the more determined back-yard Rambo down a primrose path to prison, or the cemetery. Wake up and get real. Do I think there might be a NWO conspiracy? I certainly have not ruled it out. Is there government corruption and are there bad cops? Hell yes, but I don’t think the majority want anything more than to do their job and get home safely to their families. If the s--- ever hits the fan, I imagine a lot will be on the side of the people, although some of the butt kissers will be with the NWO or whatever.

Find out where these cops live, follow them home from work, and then kill them. Kill all the f---in cops, get their addresses and kill them. Kill them while they are on vacation, kill them while they sleep. Burn their houses down. From what I have read on updated stories, sounds like the guy was coked out and was, in large part, responsible for his own death. NO evidence of brutality. In some areas, everyone seems to hate the cops and there is not shortage of liars coming out of the woodwork to tell their little tales. Looks like the case here. I suggest that you back-yard Rambos calm down. The rhetoric on here is that of losers and there seems no shortage of you. StrangeFreaky, yes, as individuals we are responsible for the choices we make and the circumstances we attract in making those choices. However, there is never an excuse for police brutality under any circumstances. Hating cops in general is ignorant and dangerous. Likewise, not hating injustice commited by guilty law so-called enforcement officers is equally ignorant and dangerous. The so-called rhetoric you refer to on this site is nowhere near as damaging as the rhetoric dealt out from our government mis-leaders and its trickle-down policies into the state and local levels. Instead of you finding fault with a website, you should focus your efforts on exposing the evil behind our government’s past, present and future activities. Tighten up!

If this man was already incapitated by police but a free standing police office then kicked this man in the head then that is thuggary of the highest order and it is indefensible. It would be just as much a crime if done on a police officer by civilians as if done by a police officer on a civilian. It would not surprise me of these two reports are true. If these two witness reports are true then it’s likely that the officers who were holding this civilian incapaciated had no prior knowledge that the officer who did allegedly kick the civilian with full force in the head was about to do so.

PS: it’s true that we don’t know if these two witnesses speak the truth or if they lie or if they are mistaken. We can not judge until the facts are known – and who actually knows the facts? It is stupid that one of the comments here is saying “to find out who the cops are and to follow them home and kill them”. That is insane and that is not justice and that is wrong.

All you need to do is watch the T.V. show COPS a few times to see how hyped up these cops are getting anymore. They get such a rush of adrenaline going that I am beginning to think they are on drugs themselves. Where is the self control anymore, don’t they teach this discipline at the academies when they are being trained ? Or are they hiring unstable mavericks to turn loose on the public ? They have gotten way too taser happy if you ask me ! They also need to stay away from those Starbucks and energy drinks. Your policing job requires a cool head first and foremost. After all, you are suppose to protect the public, not brutalize it.

If every person in every neighborhood elects a block captain, who then calls a meeting one night a month or even one day a week to discuss the state of affairs of local police local government, over taxation and our federal government and the news media, we can put those we are paying on notice they cannot continue to train thugs, bad guys and killers ( their vernacular) to prey on we the people. The ploice are here to serve and protect. it been that way and thats been the saying for many years. but it doesn’t say anything about who are what. I think we all finally get the idea on the rest of the saying….TO SERVE AND PROTECT THE CORPRATE GOVERMENT OF AMERIKA ON ALL LEVELS. And don’t you sheeple forget it. now I hear there is a gang problem in this country. Well as a retired leader of a biker club, I relized (back in the 80’s) that the worst gang america has was the ones with the most organization and communication .The one’s that serve and protect…….the police. ………No law opresses anyone they are just ideas and words. it’s the enforcement that does. I see that some here feel that we can’t just go after all the cop’s, you say there is some police which are good ole boys..hummm tough luck , get them anyway ,it’s called guilty by association law and that’s what they proudly use when they come after you when another member of your group is in trouble even if you were on the other side of town at the time.Besides, if they were good people …they wouldn’t be cop’s. Have you ever compaired the laws they enforce to the constution ,just try it, then ask youself why would you have a hardon to be trained to enforce that….must be for power ….you think?

This is a really bad part of town where there are large segments of people who are basically
subhuman scum living off the govt. and spending most of their time in bars and on hard drugs
like crack and meth. There are lots of drug-related shootings and lots of potentially violent
nutjobs on every corner. The police would be justified in reacting quickly on the defense,
very likely this guy was freaking out on crack and out of control – but no justification for
attacking a man once he is restrained. There’s also all sorts of petty moblike action in this
area with cops on the take to look the other way with certain dealers or illegal gambling operators,
etc. and it’s all underground so often there’s more to the story than will ever be told by the media.
For the most part, both sides are usually bad news. Most people here totally avoid that area.
A couple years ago a guy on crack there went nuts and was going door to door attacking random
residents with a machete – this would explain why they would react hardcore – but still not
why to continue to attack once the man is subdued.
