It sounds like you are Catholic, and if so you are extremely ignorant of your own religion, the Catholic Church freely admits that they “sanctified” Pagan practices to make the conversion process easier for the Pagans and claim Divine authority over the scriptures. An Example… There is absolutely no scriptural authority for abandoning the seventh day Sabbath for the first day of the week, but Constantine commanded the people to “rest on the venerable day of the Sun” and that’s where we get SUNday from because Constantine worshipped Mithras, and the citation is from the book ” History of the Christian church” by P. Schaff. Do some investigating yourself, you would have to be unwilling to see the truth because the evidence is everywhere, there is an Obelisk in St Peters Square that was brought directly from Heliopolis Egypt, which translated means ” City of the Sun” and obelisks were images used in Sun Worship, and I could go on and on… gee, I hope this posts.

That’s why you go with Catholicism. You are absolutely right about the bible we don’t really know. Everybody takes it so damn literally when it’s not meant to be. In fact it took many centuries for many books of the bible to become accepted. Catholicism is based on the word yes but also very heavily on tradition many of the practices of the Catholic church have been around since the time of Christ.
