YouTube is cracking down on sexy videos in a bid to clean itself up.

    • A d v e r t i s e m e n t

In a blog posting, the video-sharing website revealed it would be enforcing a “stricter standard for mature content”.

The popular site – which already bans porn – said it will be “tightening the standard for what is considered ’sexually suggestive’”.

“Videos with sexually suggestive (but not prohibited) content will be age-restricted, which means they’ll be available only to viewers who are 18 or older,” the Google-owned website said.

“Our goal is to help ensure that you’re viewing content that’s relevant to you, and not inadvertently coming across content that isn’t.”

      so what

    3. Pro Truth Says:

LOL read back the last sentence that begins “Our goal is to help ensure…” Come on that’s a joke right? Coming acros sexy content!! lol Very funny but I was hoping for a serious article.

    4. natty Says:

How bout Infowarriors stop using their site then?

Join me in boycotting Google and google owned services.
      cuil.com as search engine
      liveleak.com as youtube alternative?

    5. anon Says:

The society of today is messed up. They know what sex is at age 8. They probably start smoking and doing drugs only a few years later. Swear words probably start at age 6.

So to suggest this is to “protect” the public is ridiculous. Do you even know how early kids are given sex ed in school?

This is a joke. It’s a nice, sleasy way of seeking in censorship.

    6. natty Says:

      liveleak.com from wiki

When Panorama queried the “extremely violent videos” that had been posted to LiveLeak’s website, the co-founder, Hayden Hewitt, refused to have them taken down and stated “Look all this is happening, this is real life, this is going on, we’re going to show it.”[9]

      ACLU PRESS RELEASE (ACLU Minnesota)

The American Civil Liberties Union recently came across a revealing RNC Homeland Security Document. This official document was uncovered by the website Wikileaks, which according to its website “We help you safely get the truth out”. This document outlines the planning leading up to the Republican National Convention and how security forces would be working together during the RNC. Many federal, state and local organizations were mentioned in this document, a number of which the ACLU did not know were involved. A number of these agencies are military based, which may directly conflict with Federal law that prohibits the military from engaging in domestic intelligence gathering.

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), is one of the organizations that is mentioned in the report that is particular cause for concern. NGA provides mapping tools and imagery intelligence that are obtained from the United State’s military spy satellites which are controlled by the National Reconnaissance Office. In other words during the RNC, these top spying tools could have been utilized to gather intelligence on the homes of activists and media workers who were a part of the demonstrations. That information could have then been relayed to local officials.

A second agency that was involved in the planning is the Pentagon’s Northern Command, NORTHCOM. Having NORTHCOMM at the table, assisting in the planning is troubling because it could mean that the military was involved in the crowd control strategies and dealing with potential civil unrest. According to a report in Army Times, it said that an active military unit has been deployed by NORTHCOM in the United States. This deployment marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment within U.S. Borders.

Furthermore it appears that the FBI may have been using a station faking technology that would allow them to locate an individual through their cell phone. The ACLU is concerned with how this technology is used and if there was proper judicial oversight. In the USA Patriot ACT, this process for obtaining a track was made easier, and could allow for little to no judicial oversight. This tracking via cell phones could have been used during the RNC without the knowledge of even the phone companies.

“These behaviors are a radical departure from separation of civilian law enforcement and military authority, and could, quite possibly, represent a violation of law,” said Teresa Nelson, ACLU of Minnesota. The ACLU-MN will continue to investigate and will use their findings in future lawsuits against law enforcement officials.

    9. Ken Says:

I agree with keeping youtube mostly smut free, the problem is do they stop there.
Obama’s appointed AG is FOR internet censorship, so,
I think we’ll have to defend our free speech, be ready, or be sheep.

    10. The Ghost of Tom Joad Says:

Just another brick in the wall. They tell what to think and how to think it. You can’t even jack off to some bimbo showing off her bikini and Brazilian wax job online, without the thought police confiscating your hand lotion. I’m glad I don’t have a web camera on my Mac monitor, next thing you know, a $100 fine will print out on your printer, for getting a hard on before your married. Like George Carlin said “You ever notice the people against sexually suggestive material, you wouldn’t want to f--- anyway”.

    11. ACL Says:

This is all a ploy to ban what there really concerned about and that is what makes you awake, smart and know the truth. This is is the part they fear the most and not what makes people dumber then what they actually already prove to be. This is the part they want to increase more of.

    12. AntiHero Says:

Youtube is wrong to do this.

They should just make you prove you’re 18 to sign up to view suggestive videos.

Like can’t a person be hot and sexy and tease, geez, lighten up, you aging conservative dinosaurs

    13. dewkdogg Says:

Ban youtube and google they started out doing the right thing, morally. Now they have someone pulling and fudging the view counts. I wan’t it all and choose the ones I view for myself. Dewk

    14. Tom Says:

no one has been listening to alex this is a set up to tighten internet use for everything else. leave the “flouride-kool-aid” alone people

    15. Neocon Narc Says:

I agree with the youtube ban.
We made them what they are today.
Someone choose a date to begin ban and how long. I will follow it.
I all ready canceled my account and deleted my videos after their first round of attacks on Rodneykingstrikesbck.

After I canceled my account I realized I could not view all sexy videos anymore.
I felt like the guy who canceled the playboy channel.
Maybe they are making them all require an account to verify age in attempt to get customers back who left like me.
It cleans up their liability risks, and makes people create accounts to view.

    16. A.K.A. The Academic Says:

Here we go: One step closer to the abyss. Look into history and you will see that censorship advances in increments. The people in charge can’t merely say (right off the bat): “No ‘radical’ views allowed!” They have to lull us into the thought. It’s quite easy to rabble-rouse the masses, especially parents, against the ‘danger’ of sexual displays. But the Forbidden Fruit!…Aah, The Forbidden Fruit…THAT must be voluntarily smuggled because no one can steal a mind: it must be given-up.

    17. Darth Chaos Says:

So much for the “phat booty in tight jeans” videos. lol

    18. jdogg92056 Says:

Gee, how nice to know that someone has determined for me, without me so much as asking them to, what content is relevant to me. How nice of them to ensure that I won’t be “inadvertently coming across content that isn’t.” I love my servitude, although by all rights, I ought not to. ‘Zat you, Officer Jackboot????

    19. Erik Says:

I don’t see what the big deal is; Youtube’s been asking for age confirmation for quite awhile for anything flagged as ‘adult’.

    20. Burn Says:

I have to say I don’t understand the point. You have kids going on youtube to look at videos that suite their taste, and they don’t need to see this crap. It doesn’t matter about the age appropriate material they have you click on….kids can lie and say they are 18, how will youtube know the difference.

I for one must say I’m glad youtube has done this in the past, and I hope they continue to do it. The media pumps enough sexual propaganda across billboards, tv, music, etc.

    21. george bush Says:

Were going to get you evil doers and all you whackers!!!

    22. jake2point0 Says:

man that chick is hot. \

    23. Up Parascope Says:

IMO, I find some of the religious arguements and statements in these forums to be offensive and I skip over most of them because of that fact.

Even more offensive is the in your face violations of our civil rights and theft of our economy and hard earned savings with fiat currency and bail outs for irresponsible banking and investment practices.

Even more offensive is declaring war based upon false, cherry-picked intel and war profiteering.

And equally offensive is the news media going along with all this mainstream crap, that’s uglier than the “F” word and pictures of it in your face with zits too boot!!!

IMO ugly thoughts and politically criminal activities are far more offensive than a seductive looking woman. Today we live in a political oligarchy that when realized is far uglier and has a more psychologically damaging effect than any seductive nude that could ever be posted.

Our harshest of swear words evolved to convey the true sentiments of what is going on in our society politically and behind the scenes and I swear, the annihilation of our Constitution and Bill Of Rights is at par with only one swear phrase used to discribe such an act by those so inclined, as ” Mthr F’r!!

That swear phase is actually mild when compared to the political acts we are seeing today and just what does one call, “offensive!!!!???.

    24. --------------~+h3~d3@d~/\/\3$$3nG3r~--------------> X Says:

I often left comments on YouTube defending such issues as the 911 Truth Movement and the Patriot Movement in general. I had never been hostile or “inappropriate” in my discourse, but was informed from the staff at YouTube one day that my account had been PERMANENTLY DELETED with NO CHANCE OF EVER SIGNING UP AGAIN. So of course, not only can I not watch videos that some “moral” monster has condemned as “inappropriate”, but I also can no longer counter all the propagandist, shallow banter in the comment sections.
I was not given any reason whatsoever for this suspicious action. If I had violated any of the Terms of Service, they surely could have specified the terms. Upon contacting YouTube about this matter, I recieved no response.
What really happened here? Was it just some airheaded “flamer” (see Michael Goodspeed’s brilliant YouTube video on “flamers”) working at YouTube that decided he’d had enough of my rational, coherent and convincing perspectives? Or is it something more sinister and broad… perhaps a conspiracy to silence those that are just TOO EFFECTIVE at filtering out all the bulls--- so the people can clearly see the Truth? I suppose if this is happening to others in the Movement as well, then yes, we do have a YouTube comment section conspiracy coming to fruition. Has this happened to you or anybody you know?

      Just pondering…
      On with the r3VOLution!!!
      !!!DTTNWO!!!

    25. Brad Says:

Does this mean no more cheerleader videos? No more learn-to-dance videos? No more gymnastics videos? Olympic swimming? Beach volleyball? etc…… Sounds like someone’s been listening to them born-again people.

    26. Dirt Says:

#28 Brad, Volleyball and cheerleading videos? gymnastics and olympic swimming? Let’s hope those are not the videos you go to when you’re needing some “down time”. I don’t think they’d ban those.

And to #21… the suggestive videos won’t all be taken away from you. You’ll just have to be 18 to be able to see them. Age confirmation is not a bad thing. I don’t think parents want their 9 or 10 yr old children coming across videos of women or men being blatantly sexual. It’s not a secret that children (and people of any age really) are affected when exposed to odd sexual scenes or to too much sexual media.

    27. greg p Says:

this is another distraction….be aware they are going to do something very soon …..their dark energy is amased and ready…the next step is ready….we must keep our humanity and survival no matter what… they want chaos ….confusion and chaos …..best to know where you as a person stand and we as people, who will never give up the persuit of freedom. it is a spiritual…dimensional
battle for our souls, we must decide not them, and not ever, accept thier restricted solution for it is not a solution. but it is an illusion, a perasitic attack on the soul of man…….. seek endure persist and trod on,
      they cannot and will not escape this earth….it belongs to the people, to humanity…..and the voice of the people…. is the voice of God…..{}{}{}{}{}<{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}

    28. Peso Says:

If youtube bans you all you have to do is get a different email address and sign up again. Yeah it is totally f---ed up they do that but its not a hard thing to get around…

    29. Barbaricfellow Says:

3rd or 4th item on the nat. news in Holland today, was about YT searching musicians to make a YT jingle would you f**kn believe..
Infantility would be a gross understatement..

    30. loot Says:

After 6 years of research I am unable to find a single piece of verifiable evidence of any kind that any of the 4 planes existed on 911. Nothing. I am willing to take a single speck if I can verify it. To this date…..nothing.

Out of 250+ victims on the “planes” totaling tens of thousands of family members…..only ONE person has ever come forward to question 911. ONE….and that poor woman has been brutalized and threatened every day since doing so.

By exposing that there were no planes on 911….you expose something much greater. Trillions of dollars in business are at stake should it become common knowledge that there were no planes. The media itself would be criminally liable, not to mention the “War on Terror, government, agencies, law enforcement, witnesses, videographers who doctored their films days after 911, insurance fraud into the 100’s of Billions etc. Just the mere mention of no planes will have you thrown out of even the most open minded meetings on 911.

The US government has said it has recovered 95% of the plane debris from Shanksville PA. That’s great. Now can anyone on the planet verify a single speck in any way shape or form? NO….and that is a direct order from the White House. There are rumors that the WH then ordered the debris destroyed just like every speck from the Pentagon and every speck of debris from ground zero….ALL of it has been destroyed.

There were no planes on 911. What else does it mean?

    31. loot Says:

I’m just kidding guys. My previous comment was a joke. That is what it would look like if someone payed me to post comments claiming that there were no planes on 9/11 to make the 9/11 truth movement look absurd and ridiculous. Have a nice day everyone.

    32. teejay Says:

or like john c. said there are plenty of other video sharing websited to use. that is just what youtube wants you to think that they are the only one of their kind so they can do whatever they want and treat their users any way they please.

    33. Mark Says:

      Youtube sucks. Stop using it.

    34. Alex Says:

I love youtube… and this is great they gonna remove sex from their pages… too much!~

    35. Elvis Says:

And I was right in the middle of a wank.

    36. Up Parascope Says:

If we believe the crap they are selling here, they are trying to tell us that pictures of attractive naked people should be “classified” the same as torture in our off shore prisons, along with all the other censorship that’s for the eyes and minds of our leaders only, that would prefer to mislead us and get away with it.

But, it’s OK to post pictures of Saddam’s head being yanked off, films depicting atomic bombs vaporizing school playgrounds, or refuse to tell us where the trillions of bail out money went.

In all fairness to the fairness of censorship, I guess if the truth must be classified, then so should pictures of attractive naked people, to convince us all that we are somehow trying to be a moral oligarchy, that’s being f’d to death as it all gets swept under the rug. Now that I truly find to be offensive.

But look at it this way, if they can ban pictures of attractive naked people by passing censorship laws to protect us, then they can continue to screw us royally with covert and non-disclosure policies and censor the real truth of the matter on all other issues. Now that’s the true goal here and don’t be a total fool!!!

The real truth behind politics should be as raw naked and down on your knees as it gets and mainstream should be pointing all of this out so that we can be informed and vote properly. But, any means and methods to get censorship approved will do and that’s what all of this is all about, passing laws to censor the truth and using pictures of attractive naked people to sell this GRAND IRONIC LIE to We The People, as if our leaders really gave a rats ass.

I’m sorry, but our politics are about as bad as incest and beastiality in our faces and the jerks promoting such policies do far mor emotional and psychological harm to our society than pictures of a “willing” good looking gal showing us some cookies.

By comparrison, covering up the truth about 9/11, now that’s an infected harry asshole in your face, with s---, dicks and semen flying at you and that’s for real and they want to censor that in broad day light, so the plan can go forward to harvest all the war markets. Now that’s shoving down our throats and just what are we supposed to tell our kids about that, pussy is bad???

    37. Mark Says:

The world is going down the drain but sexuality sems to always be a topic regardless of what happens, and a topic by which the NWO wants us to see it as having ethics. *Eyes rolling*

    38. off_thegrid Says:

      Screw them.

We really do live in a prison colony.

What is wrong with naked stuff????

People should keep there biased, f---ed up, opinionated, ass backwards personal morals to themselves.

Who are these clowns to tell us what we can, or can’t watch.

The thought police are working overtime.

    39. Up Parascope Says:

I posted again after post 40 and I wonder where it went???

I know, I bet I got censored again, for painting vivid and truthful political pictures with words.

    40. staggerlee Says:

Isn’t it funny how Violence is tolerated even gore (fox show 24) but sex is totally prohibited. Why the double standard? I would really like to know. I would like to ask the religious write who would Jesus bomb!!!

    41. staggerlee Says:

      Right

    42. Up Parascope Says:

I know, the next step is detecting people’s sexual fantacies when they sleep and then creating brainwave machines that will interupt anyone from having a wet dream. They could then data mine everyone’s sexuality and tell us how they have thwarted another terrorist attack using the new technology.

Maybe the bible toaters should be the one’s running the review boards, or they could have the jews run it and collect a penalty tax on wet dreams, proving to us all that we live in a moral oligarchy with a carbon footprint and wet dream footprint as well.

And anyone that is not with us, is with the terrorists!!!

The Transparency of Loyalty in Government Amendment is 325 signatures strong today, 4 Dec 2008. If this proposal were law the ramifications would TRULY be revolutionary and more effective than anything the truth/revolution movement has yet to propose. The last time this legislation was passed the US was invaded by England and the TONA was purged from American history. This IS the ORIGINAL 13th Amendment, it should be an easy sell! Please sign and support. For the love of justice PASS THIS ALONG!! I cant win this battle alone as one voice cannot be heard above the s---storm of corporate propaganda.

If you want to know who is a corporate self serving shill sellout, send them this petition and see if they will pledge their allegiance against corruption. If you are not against corruption, you are for corruption!

There is nothing wrong with censoring sleazy content on you tube. We all have the right to search videos without the risk of inadvertently coming across filth. Lot’s of parents get concerned over this issue when children are on the internet.
Suggestive content should only be available to people who are specifically looking for it.
