On the day that millions of Americans celebrated the life-giving selflessness of motherhood, this past Sunday, Planned Parenthood chose to remind the world that some mothers regret having children, and some are glad they had abortions.

The group’s Twitter account was once again flooded with backlash as it chose to use Mother’s Day to promote its “pro-choice” agenda by releasing four different cards to celebrate the occasion.

Each card declared that Planned Parenthood “loves moms,” along with a heartwarming message about how good it is to NOT have children.

One of the cards relates the story of a woman named Shawanna who became pregnant at the age of 17 and “decided that terminating her pregnancy was the best decision for her at the time.” Lovely stuff for moms to think about on their special day.

Another of the cards states that a mother called Chloe is grateful for the Supreme Court’s decision to bypass democracy and and impose on-demand abortions in the US. The card claims that the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling gave women “the right to be a mom by choice,” as if that wasn’t a thing already.

Commenters noted that three of the four cards featured black families – a nod perhaps to the founder of Planned Parenthood, the virulently racist eugenicist Margaret Sanger.

Those responding on Twitter took the opportunity to question exactly why the country’s largest abortion provider, with a reported 327,635 unborn babies’ deaths in 2014 is STILL receiving more than $528 million in taxpayer funding.
