Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano issued veiled threats ahead the March 1 sequestration deadline, claiming that in automatic budget cuts could trigger new terror attacks, delay travel and render customs & border unable to enforce immigration laws (as the White House hypocritically mulls amnesty that would cost several trillion).
The intent of Napolitano’s speech to intimidate a mere $85 billion in budget cuts with the threat of new attacks was clear, despite her claims to the contrary.
“I’m not here to scare people; I’m here to inform and let people begin to plan,” Napolitano stated. “I don’t think we can maintain the same level of security at all places around the country with sequester compared to without sequester.”
