An Egyptian security official says a bomb blast near a police station killed three people, a day after the assassination of the country’s prosecutor general.
The blast took place Tuesday in the Six of October district. The official says it is not immediately clear whether the three killed were assailants traveling in a car or civilians.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the press.
