Border Patrol agents seized 1,380 pounds of marijuana on Thursday morning in Los Indios.

Agents assigned to the Harlingen Border Patrol Station watched several people load a vehicle with marijuana in Los Indios, according to a news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. When agents stopped the vehicle, the driver attempted to flee on foot.

Border Patrol turned the driver, a 15-year-old Mexican citizen, over to local police and turned the marijuana over to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
