A Border Patrol supervisor faces up to 12 years in prison and $950,000 in fines after admitting he put a camera in a women’s restroom drain and lied about it.
Armando Gonzalez, 46, of El Cajon, admitted he put the camera in a bathroom at the Chula Vista Border Patrol station to try to photograph women’s genitals and butts.
He also admitted he lied when he told his bosses he put the camera there to investigate one of his officers for suspicion of drug crimes, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Thursday.
