Republican primary candidate Ben Carson says he’s open to surveilling any place that may be radicalizing terrorists, including mosques, churches and schools.
“In the larger capacity we should monitor anything – mosques, church, school, you know, shopping centers where there is a lot of radicalization going on,” Carson said on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday.
Carson said the U.S. needs to “enhance” its intelligence program to deal with the threat posed by radical Islamic terrorists.
“You know, for instance, we’ve learned last week that the FBI seems to be only to be able to monitor 30 to 60 people at a time,” he said. “And we know there’s a lot more than that need to be monitored.”
