A Quinnipiac University Swing State Poll shows Democrat Hillary Clinton falling behind Republican Rand Paul in Iowa.

Clinton’s decline is showing in three critical swing states — Colorado, Iowa and Virginia, the poll finds. She is tied with every Republican candidate in the key state of Iowa.

The Iowa caucuses are the first major electoral event of the nominating process for president.

The poll “numbers are a boost for U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky as he formally launches his campaign,” said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

“Ominous for Hillary Clinton is the broad scope of the movement today compared to her showing in Quinnipiac University’s mid-February survey. It isn’t just one or two Republicans who are stepping up; it’s virtually the entire GOP field that is running better against her.

“That’s why it is difficult to see Secretary Clinton’s slippage as anything other than a further toll on her image from the furor over her e-mail,” Brown said.

Establishment Media Gears Up to Defeat Paul

Despite Paul’s numbers, the corporate media has produced overwhelmingly negative reportage on him since his campaign announcement earlier this week in Louisville.

CNN declares the Kentucky senator and son of former congressman Ron Paul is “wrong for America.” Georgia Davis Powers writes “the American people deserve a leader who won’t disrespect their intelligence, who won’t pander to them when it’s convenient, and who won’t work to dismantle the progress we have made over the last five decades,” the latter a reference to Paul’s stand on the federal Voting Rights Act.

NBC hosts Andrea Mitchell, the wife of former Federal Reserve boss Alan Greenspan, and Chuck Todd “repeatedly scolded the Republican presidential candidate” for his performance on the Today Show.

During the interview, Paul told host Savannah Guthrie to “stop editorializing” about his foreign policy views and ask a question.

The establishment media has characterized Paul as a hothead and insinuated that his exchange with Guthrie reveals that he is sexist.
