The death toll from this week’s bombings in India’s financial capital has climbed to 19 as Mumbai police continued Saturday to systematically sift through the evidence gathered from the site of the three blasts.

Earlier reports put the death toll at 17 and the number of those injured at over 130.

Wednesday’s blasts, which occurred in busy commercial and residential areas during the evening peak hours, were the first major terrorist attacks in the city since the 2008 Mumbai attacks that killed more than 160 people.
