House Intelligence Committee Democrats will present their own memo to counter the much-anticipated FISA memo purporting to show DOJ abuses at the highest levels, according to Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.).
The counter memo was drawn up to “expose the misleading character of the Republicans’ document so that members of the House are not left with an erroneous impression of the dedicated professionals at the FBI and DOJ,” Schiff wrote in a statement.

Schiff already attempted to downplay Rep. Devin Nunes’ (R-Calif.) FISA memo that reportedly outlines a list of “shocking” abuses by the FBI, DOJ, and Clinton campaign by claiming it was too complicated for the American people to understand.
“The American people unfortunately don’t have the underlying materials and therefore they can’t see how distorted and misleading this document is,” Schiff told CNN’s Ana Cabrera Sunday.
Schiff and Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.) even penned a letter to Facebook and Twitter asking for them to determine if Russian bots were behind the widespread dissemination of the #ReleasetheMemo hashtag.

However, allegations of Russian influence on the hashtag’s spread are false, reported The Daily Beast.
The hashtag was in fact driven by humans, most likely Republicans.
