EU Citizens living in the UK will be granted the right to stay if there is a ‘no-deal’ Brexit, in a bid by Theresa May to claim the “moral high ground” from Brussels.

The unilateral offer from the Prime Minister will allow Europeans to continue to access the NHS and claim benefits.

Mrs. May’s announcement chimes with her Government’s contingency policy for a bellicose break from the bloc, which relies “on the availability of existing labor.”
