A feminist writing for the Huffington Post has called for people to self-censor when they use the word “too” because it puts pressure on women to be perfect in the eyes of society and is sexist.

Cameron Schaeffer, who describes herself as a “devout feminist,” has succeeded in penning one of the most cringe worthy, whiny, ‘first world problem’ articles that you’re ever likely to read.

“There is no proper way for a woman to cut her hair, let alone do anything right in this world. There seems to be an unobtainable one-millimeter-wide mark of perfection, and none of us can reach it. Everything is too this or too that. We see it every day in the tabloids. For example, one day a female celebrity is too revealing and the next day she is too matronly.”

“In my experience, I rarely hear too thrown around about men. You hear someone say, “He’s short,” but you seldom hear “too short.” I hear women and men alike each day describing women as too something. But what does it really mean when you call a woman too? I asked myself, “too what?” I have determined that too means you’re calling a woman too far away from your idyllic vision of what a woman should be. Something as small as calling a woman’s dress too long or her muscles too built has a much larger social construct. With all the varying tastes and cultures in this world, it is impossible for a woman — or anyone, for that matter — to fulfill everyone’s criteria. And why is it our responsibility to satisfy them, anyway?”

Schaeffer goes on to claim that she has been “deprived of self-satisfaction and appreciation because of this word and this attitude,” before comparing the scale of the problem to rape, pay inequality and the defunding of Planned Parenthood.

The crucial part of the article is when Schaeffer admits that her obsession with the word “too” being sexist is “admittedly tied to my personality.”

In other words, Schaeffer is another perfect example of a tedious third wave feminist who blames society and the imaginary “patriarchy” for her own dysfunctionality and self-loathing.

Schaeffer asserts that people should self-censor and stop using the adverb in the context of any discussion about women.

“We should call on both genders to cut the word too from their vocabulary when discussing women,” she writes.

Even the Huffington Post’s liberal audience was flabbergasted by the sheer absurdity of the article.

“The Internet has done a lot of things, but one thing is has done with aplomb is to expose the depth of mediocrity, dribble, and self-absorption rampant in American society,” wrote Deborah Smith.

“YEAH, you’re right; the word “too” is a plot against women by the men of the world with oppression in mind. Good grief! If this is what our universities are producing (and by the way society as whole looks now, it is) then we should scrap the whole system. What utter drivel!” remarked Sherrie Rardin.

Gabriel Millines summed it up best with his comment; “This article is too stupid to be true.”
