The death of Michael Brown has turned into a national civil rights movement.
But there is a problem. The hero of this movement is a violent thug who contributed to his own death.
Testimony and evidence reveals Brown fought with the police officer Darren Wilson and was shot when he reached for Wilson’s gun.
From The New York Times:
The officer, Darren Wilson, has told the authorities that during the scuffle, Mr. Brown reached for the gun. It was fired twice in the car, according to forensics tests performed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The first bullet struck Mr. Brown in the arm; the second bullet missed.
The forensics tests showed Mr. Brown’s blood on the gun, as well as on the interior door panel and on Officer Wilson’s uniform. Officer Wilson told the authorities that Mr. Brown had punched and scratched him repeatedly, leaving swelling on his face and cuts on his neck.
This is contrary to what we have been told for weeks. That Wilson executed Brown. The evidence clearly shows Wilson reacted in self-defense.
Like the Trayvon Martin case, the supporters of Michael Brown will ignore the facts and continue to portray Brown as a victim. This will have the effect of turning the movement into a charade.
There is no doubt America is in the middle of a police violence epidemic. But heroes like Martin and Brown only degrade any effort to address the issue.
The corporate media will undoubtedly continue to portray Brown as an innocent teenage victim. The victimhood political movement depends on it to survive.
