Hundreds of people in Japan are still suffering from ‘earthquake sickness’ – two months after devastating tremors killed 50 and injured thousands in the country’s south.
More than 200 have been diagnosed with dizziness following the disaster in a condition known as ‘jishin-yoi’ meaning ‘earthquake drunk’.
A 6.4 magnitude quake struck in April close to the city of Kunamoto followed by a 7.3 magnitude earthquake days later.
But months later many victims are still feeling the effects of the tremors in the form of ‘post-earthquake dizziness syndrome’ which makes them lose their balance, according to the Daily Telegraph.
