Helen Mirren is the Academy Award-winning actress for The Queen, where she played Elizabeth II during Princess Diana’s tragic death.
She’s also known for her more naked role in Calendar Girls where she stripped everything off, including her knickers, to sell calendars for charity. So that’s Helen Mirren. She’s an actress. She’s a very good one. Based on the following quotation, she’s also kind of an idiot, if you delete the “also” part.
Well today she’s the new face of modern feminism, because she has this to say:
“It annoys me when I see men with an arm slung round their girlfriend’s shoulders. It’s like ownership. Of course, when you’re young, you want the guy to take your hand and look after you.
But when I see girls being leaned on, I want to say, ‘Tell him to get his damned arm off your shoulder.’”
That’s right, ladies. When your man puts his arm around your shoulder, what he’s really saying is you’re like a coat in his closet. You’re the motorcycle his mother wouldn’t let him have. You’re the new iPad Pro for which he has no practical use, but wants anyway… because toys. Boys like their shiny toys. Now you’re one of them. Congratulations.
This is just the latest example of stupid feminists sticking their schnozes where they don’t belong. Newsflash to Helen Mirren: some women like it when their men put their arms around their shoulders. It’s called physical affection, and it says “I like you,” and “I want everyone to know that I like you.” Does it also say, “This woman is my woman?” Hell yes, and that’s why many women like it. I’m his woman, and he’s my man. If a woman didn’t like her man “leaning” on her, maybe it’s her business to correct it, and not an English actress’s job. You played a queen. You aren’t actually a queen. Unless it’s Queen of “Feminist Bitchlandia.”
Yet another example of the judgmental attitudes coming from the left. Don’t let your boyfriend, husband, or whatever (remember the acronym is now LGBTQAI), put his arms around you, or you’re not a real feminist woman. You’re just another sellout. Be a woman, not an iPad Pro. The faux queen has decreed it.
And you wonder why men are terrified to date…
