ISIS (ISIL, Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) is targeting its critics, primarily the “Raqqa is being Slaughtered Silently” (RSS) through a Windows malware, according to The Citizen Lab, a cyber-security human rights group.

Although it cannot be said conclusively that the malware is from ISIS, its target and what it achieves indicate the handiwork of ISIS.

The malware targets RSS, the ISIS opposition group which is actively involved in depicting the public beheading and stoning of residents, and terrorizing them.

The malware, coming as booby trapped emails from a Canadian expat group against the ISIS, asks the recipients to check over a report about the ISIS actions.
