London Mayor Sadiq Khan has watched his popularity plummet as a result of the largest epidemic of violence in the capital’s history.

Figures released Thursday show that 32 percent of patients treated by airborne trauma specialists and paramedics in the first six months of 2018 were stabbing or shooting victims.

The second largest group of emergencies with 27 percent of the total were road traffic accidents, with injuries sustained from a fall or height making up 20 percent.
