More than half of US citizens disapprove of the way US President Barack Obama is managing the country as his rating continues to fall, according to the Quinnipiac University’s poll results released on Monday.
“American voters disapprove 52 — 43 percent of the job President Barack Obama is doing, compared to a 50 — 43 percent disapproval in a Jun 1 Quinnipiac University poll,” the released read.
The findings also showed that both parties in the US Congress receive the worst approval ratings among the polled Americans.
“Republicans and Democrats in Congress each get one of their worst approval ratings ever as voters disapprove 75 — 17 percent of the job Republicans are doing and disapprove 63 — 29 percent of the job Democrats are doing,” the poll results read.
Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,644 registered US voters nationwide on July 23 — 28 via phone interviews.
The US presidential election will be held on November 8, 2016. Obama is ineligible to be elected to a third term, according to US laws.
