Two additional former Marines have filed lawsuits against a boot camp food vendor they say is responsible for an E.coli outbreak in San Diego last year that left almost 300 trainees ill.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said 62 Marines fell ill due to E.coli during the fall 2017 outbreak with an additional 62 probable cases and 120 more suspected. Those numbers support the “more than 300” cases reported by the Union-Tribune at the time.

Drew Falkenstein, one of the attorneys representing the former Marines, said the suits are about holding the vendor — Sodexo — accountable.
