A Morning Joe panel on MSNBC found it difficult to accept that Hillary Clinton is unpopular and her poll numbers are upside down in crucial swing states.
Joe Scarborough and cohost Mika Brzezinski, the daughter of arch globalist Zbigniew Brzezinski, reacted with incredulity.
Scarborough said he figured Jeb Bush’s numbers are similar and expressed exasperation that “somebody like Donald Trump attacking politicians is actually getting support.”
NBC correspondent Chuck Todd said if not for the establishment media coverage of Donald Trump, the story would be the Bernie Sanders “boomlet” and Hillary Clinton’s failure to solidify support within the Democrat party.
Todd added that whenever Clinton is presented as “the face of the Democratic party” her numbers have declined in the polls.
A Quinnipiac University poll shows Clinton trailing all the Republican contenders for the presidency in the swing states of Colorado, Iowa and Virginia.
The numbers reveal a striking disparity between the public and the political establishment.
Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton have taken campaign money from Goldman Sachs and Wall Street and are “viewed across Wall Street as centrists who could cool some of the scorching anti-banker rhetoric and policies emanating from the Elizabeth Warren wing on the left and the tea party movement on the right” and, more recently, from Vermont Independent Bernie Sanders.
The MSNBC segment also reveals the myopia of the establishment media as it adheres to its talking points.
Chuck Todd, however, was upfront when he admitted Clinton’s falling numbers and the popularity of Donald Trump represent public disapproval of the political class and its corporate media.
