Ted Nugent‘s upcoming concert for a Native American tribe has been called off because of what the Coeur d’Alene tribe describes as Nugent’s “racist attitudes and views” that they claimed to be previously unaware of.

According to the AP, the tribe said they could not host a concert for someone they just realized has made “racist and hate-filled remarks,” though they did not specify what remarks in particular bothered them.

Nugent somewhat infamously called President Obama a “chimpanzee” and a “subhuman mongrel” earlier this year, which kicked off a weeks-long media frenzy about the Detroit rocker.

This isn’t the first time a Nugent concert has been called off because of his rather outspoken views; a 2012 Nugent concert at Fort Knox was called off after being made aware of his comments that he’d either be “dead or in jail” if Obama got reelected.
