Never one to let a good crisis go to waste, President Obama on Monday continued to push the left’s gun control agenda following the shooting of seven people in Kalamazoo, Michigan over the weekend.

On Sunday morning, 45-year-old Uber driver Jason Dalton was arrested for reportedly shooting and killing seven random people, all the while making pickups via the ride-share app.

“Earlier this year I took some steps that will make it harder for dangerous people like this individual to buy a gun, but clearly we’re gonna need to do more if we’re gonna keep innocent Americans safe,” Obama said.

“And I’ve got to assume that all of you are just as tired as I am of seeing this stuff happen in your states, so that’s an area where we also need to partner and think about what we can do in a common sense way, in a bipartisan way without some of the ideological rhetoric that so often surrounds that issue.”
