Christopher Cornell, the 21-year-old accused of plotting an attack on the U.S. Capitol building, has now been charged with attempting to provide support to ISIL.
Cornell, of Green Township, Ohio, was initially charged after his Jan. 14, 2015, arrest with attempting to kill officers of the United States and possession of firearms.
Law enforcement allegedly found two semiautomatic rifles on Cornell and more than 600 rounds of ammunition during their investigation.
