Pundits in the United States said it was proof of the superiority of the capitalist system but people in other parts of the world wondered whether the US could suffer the same fate. Dmitry Orlov believes that the American Dream is about to become a nightmare and he examines the similarities and differences between the US and Soviet Union in his book Reinventing Collapse.
