Officials with Donna school district police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in connection with damage to three of its patrol vehicles.

Between 2 and 3 a.m. Friday morning, someone jumped the chain-link fence surrounding the open warehouse parking lot of Donna ISD police department in front of Donna High School and caused major damage to three patrol units and made off with at least one bag full of police equipment, Police Chief Roy Padilla said.

The chief said the department has approximately 25 patrol units for its officers.

Padilla said the person used a shotgun to shoot out the front windshield of one of the units and a large unknown object to break the front windshield of the two other units.
