A U.S. citizen (USC) was caught smuggling illegal aliens in New Mexico using a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTC), authorities say.
The bust unfolded last week in U.S Border Patrol’s (USBP) El Paso Sector.
Assisted by Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations, USBP agents from Santa Teresa station tracked down a large UTV in the New Mexico desert.
The vehicle, driven by a USC, was also transporting three illegal aliens of undisclosed origin.
With the support of @CBPAMO , STN agents apprehended 1 USC driver and 3 migrants attempting to escape using a Utility Terrain Vehicle. UTVs are increasingly being used in smuggling schemes to camouflage and avoid detection.

“UTVs are increasingly being used in smuggling schemes to camouflage and avoid detection,” El Paso Sector Chief Anthony Good explained in a statement.
As many hotspots along the southwest border heat up again amid an apparent collapse of a deal struck last year between the Biden-Harris regime and the prior Mexican administration, USBP sources in El Paso Sector tell InfoWars they are once again being “run over” by illegals and smugglers.
A child was discovered among 20 illegals apprehended during another bust last week when a smuggler attempted to skirt a USBP checkpoint in El Paso Sector.
A child's life put in peril as the smuggler attempted to circumvent a USBP checkpoint. Alamogordo BP Agents disrupted the smuggling scheme, apprehending 20 migrants.
