Update: Vem Miller, who was arrested Sunday by Riverside County police at former President Donald Trump’s rally in Coachella, California, on suspicion of wanting to kill the president, joined The Alex Jones Show on Monday to set the record straight about what transpired.
During the exclusive interview with Alex Jones, Miller explained that he’s an avid Trump supporter who specialized in many media and journalistic projects, and that he was wrongly arrested based on hasty police work and faulty information.
Miller explained that after informing police that he had two lawfully registered firearms in his vehicle, police started “ransacking my car.”
“I’m talking, they’re doing bomb-sniffing dogs, they’re going into the actual muffler and doing some kind of swab test. They’re going inside the hood of the car. I had three luggages in there with clothing, media equipment, computers, all that. They go through everything,” Miller said.
Miller also criticized the Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco’s false claim that he was in possession of “multiple passports with multiple names” at the time of his arrest, explaining he had two passports, one American and one Canadian.
“I was born in Toronto but grew up in Los Angeles, so I still have my Canadian passport which kinda comes in handy because I’ve done a lot of traveling to places where it’s safer to travel with a Canadian passport versus an American passport,” Miller told Jones.
“So we’re really talking about two passports, not five passports. None of it is fake, all of it is legal and lawful,” he added.
Miller also explained that he did not have a “fake” press pass and that it was legitimately issued to him by the head of the Clark County Republican Party.
“The gentleman who gave me the pass, he runs the Clark County Republican Party…everything was on the up and up,” he said.
Sheriff Bianco, who initially claimed that Miller said he wanted to “kill the president,” on Monday walked back his remarks, admitting he was given “bad info” by the arresting officer.
“He never said it. It was bad info…given to me. He never told a deputy that,” Bianco told The Epoch Times in a text message.
Miller said he may sue the police department for their hasty arrest that damaged his reputation.
“Somebody like me should not know more about the law than these police officers,” he noted.

Assassination Attempt #3? Armed Man Who Said He Wanted to ‘Kill the President’ Arrested Outside Trump’s Coachella Rally
An armed man was arrested Saturday outside former President Donald Trump’s MAGA rally in Coachella, California, after he allegedly said he wanted to “kill the president.”
Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco told The Epoch Times that his department arrested a man who was in possession of two firearms outside the perimeter of Trump’s event in Coachella, 130 miles east of Los Angeles.
“We arrested a man trying to get in the perimeter with two firearms who ended up saying he was going to kill the president,” Bianco told the outlet, adding the individual was carrying fraudulent VIP and media passes at the rally checkpoint.

“They were different enough to cause the deputies alarm,” Bianco told The Press-Enterprise in reference to the passes. “We probably stopped another assassination attempt.”
“I thought it’s not going to happen in Riverside County. We don’t have the same sicko issues and violent protests like they have in Los Angeles. We’re better than that. Go figure,” he added.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office provided more details of the arrest:
On Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 4:59 p.m, deputies assigned to former President Donald Trump’s rally in the Coachella Valley contacted the driver of a black SUV at a checkpoint at the intersection of Avenue 52 and Celebration Drive. The male driver, identified as Vem Miller, a 49-year-old resident of Las Vegas, was found to be illegally in the possession a shotgun, a loaded handgun and a high-capacity magazine.
Miller was taken into custody without incident and later booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center for possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a high-capacity magazine.
This incident did not impact the safety of former President Trump or attendees of the event.
According to the Riverside County Inmate Information System, Miller was already released from the detention center Sunday on $5,000 bail.
They released the suspect already?! What on earth?!?!

Another man, an Iraqi national, who was singled out as a “hit” by police dogs trained to identify explosives, was also turned away from the event, Bianco said.
Bianco held a press conference Sunday to elaborate on the details of the arrest and law enforcement’s response, including the revelation that the suspect was found with “multiple passports with multiple names”, “multiple drivers licenses with multiple names” and arrived in an unregistered vehicle with a fake license plate.
This comes in the wake of two previous assassination attempts against Trump, the first occurring in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13 after a shooter’s bullet clipped Trump’s ear, and the second at the former president’s golf course in Florida last month.
The Trump campaign recently called for enhanced protection with military assets, including aircraft and anti-aircraft missiles, amid reports Iran was actively plotting to kill the former president.
Additionally, DHS confirmed multiple kill squads were in U.S. soil seeking to end Trump’s life.

Notably, the mainstream media has largely ignored this alarming arrest, which is interesting given the report would be all over the airwaves if such an incident occurred outside a Kamala Harris event.
