Former President Donald Trump accused Democrats’ incendiary rhetoric of inciting yet another assassination attempt over the weekend.
After surviving a second attempt on his life at his Florida golf resort on Sunday, the mainstream media tried to blame Trump for inspiring the shooter; however, on Monday the president set the record straight on Truth, blaming Democrats and opponent Kamala Harris for demonizing him and painting a target on his back.
“The Rhetoric, Lies, as exemplified by the false statements made by Comrade Kamala Harris during the rigged and highly partisan ABC Debate, and all of the ridiculous lawsuits specifically designed to inflict damage on Joe’s, then Kamala’s, Political Opponent, ME, has taken politics in our Country to a whole new level of Hatred, Abuse, and Distrust,” Trump wrote.
“Because of this Communist Left Rhetoric, the bullets are flying, and it will only get worse!” Trump wrote, going on to highlight Kamala’s failure as “border czar” for endangering citizens.
“Allowing millions of people, from places unknown, to INVADE and take over our Country, is an unpardonable sin. OUR BORDERS MUST BE CLOSED, AND THE TERRORISTS, CRIMINALS, AND MENTALLY INSANE, IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM AMERICAN CITIES AND TOWNS, DEPORTED BACK TO THEIR COUNTIES OF ORIGIN. WE WANT PEOPLE TO COME INTO OUR COUNTRY, BUT THEY MUST LOVE OUR NATION, AND COME IN LEGALLY AND THROUGH A SYSTEM OF MERIT.
“THE WORLD IS LAUGHING AT US AS FOOLS, THEY ARE STEALING OUR JOBS AND OUR WEALTH. WE CANNOT LET THEM LAUGH ANY LONGER. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he added.
Trump reiterated his belief Democrat rhetoric is to blame in an interview with Fox News Digital Monday, stating suspected shooter Ryan Wesley Routh “believed the rhetoric of Biden and Harris, and he acted on it.”
“Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at, when I am the one who is going to save the country, and they are the ones that are destroying the country — both from the inside and out,” Trump told Fox.
The defiant message comes as the media attempted to downplay the second assassination attempt, with some networks, such as MSNBC, going as far as to claim Trump himself was responsible.

“Do you expect there to be calls from within the Trump campaign to [tone it down]?” an MSNBC anchor asked a Time Magazine editor on Sunday.

“Because he’s going to reach out to his supporters and say, ‘let’s take this down,’” she continued. “We do not know, again, the source of any gunshot or gunshots. We don’t know who’s responsible for this. The whole thing has yet to be 100% confirmed from start to finish how this all played out.”
“But do you expect to hear anything from the Trump campaign about toning down the rhetoric, toning down the violence, or would that be atypical of the former president?” the anchor asked.
Of course, Trump, as usual, is right. For years, Democrats have publicly exhibited severe cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome and espoused violent rhetoric, making little effort to hide their extreme hatred for the former president and his supporters.
During last week’s debate, Trump claimed Democrats’ heated rhetoric led to his first assassination attempt in July, saying, “I probably took a bullet to the head because of the things that they say about me. They talk about ‘I’m a threat to democracy’— they’re the threat to democracy.”
