Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg says the Biden administration amid the Covid pandemic put tremendous pressure on his team to censor social media posts discussing side effects from the experimental jab.
“They pushed us super hard to take down things that were honestly, were true,” Zuckerberg told The Joe Rogan Experience this week.
“I mean they basically pushed us and said, ‘Anything that says that vaccines might have side effects, you need to take down,'” said the CEO of Meta Inc., which owns Facebook, Instagram and Threads, claiming he refused to comply.
Asked to clarify who he meant by “they,” Zuckerberg confirmed he was referring to the Biden administration.
“It was people from the Biden administration. These people from the Biden administration would call up our team and like scream at them and curse,” he continued.
Zuckerberg also said he was ordered to take down memes.
Elsewhere in the interview, Zuckerberg went on to say he thinks Trump “just wants America to win,” and reluctantly admitted the X platform allowing users to counter government narratives in real-time likely played a role in helping President-elect Donald Trump win re-election.
Zuck’s interview comes as Trump said Thursday that numerous Big Tech heads have visited Mar-a-Lago for discussions in recent weeks, including Zuckerberg.
Rogan’s sit-down with the Meta CEO follows an interview this week with legendary Hollywood actor Mel Gibson, who discussed how three of his friends used alternative treatments to beat their stage four cancer diagnoses.
