Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland vowed on Friday that the Justice Department will fight back against Republican voter ID laws and post-election audits.
As the Arizona election audit nears its end, the Biden administration could be showing signs of fear as the DOJ has now entered the game.
“We are scrutinizing new laws that seek to curb voter access, and where we see violations of federal law, we will not hesitate to act,” Garland said.
“We will apply the same scrutiny to post-election audits to ensure they abide by federal statutory requirements to protect election records and avoid the intimidation of voters,” he added.

The Garland announcement comes as Arizona audit counters started on the last pallet of ballots Friday morning.
Delegates from nearly ten other states are interested in visiting Arizona to see how their audit was operated in hopes to undergo similar election audits in their home states.
Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers issued a stern warning in response to Garland’s comments, telling the AG, “You will not touch Arizona ballots or machines unless you want to spend time in an Arizona prison. Maybe you should focus on stopping terrorism. The Justice Department is one of the most corrupt institutions in the USA.”
