On Monday the lame duck Joe Biden administration, which presides over the executive office for just another 21 days, announced he will be giving $2.5 billion more to Ukraine. This adds to the $175 billion the U.S. has given Ukraine up until April 2024.
“Today, I am proud to announce nearly $2.5 billion in security assistance for Ukraine, as the Ukrainian people continue to defend their independence and freedom from Russian aggression,” the White House press release said.
Most interestingly, hidden within phrases that may invoke hope in those wishing to see Ukraine prevail, the phrase ‘drawdown package for the Ukrainian military’ was included. This ‘drawdown’ comes at a price of $1.22 billion.
“Since Russia launched its further assault against Ukraine in February 2022, the United States has rallied the world to stand with the Ukrainian people, and it has been a top priority of mine to provide Ukraine with the support it needs to prevail. Today’s announcement—which includes an additional $1.25 billion drawdown package for the Ukrainian military and a $1.22 billion Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) package—builds on this effort and will provide Ukraine with both an immediate influx of capabilities that it continues to use to great effect on the battlefield and longer-term supplies of air defense, artillery, and other critical weapons systems,” the White House press release said.
Paying over one billion dollars to ‘drawdown’ the Ukrainian military may be due to the incoming administration of Donald Trump eyeing cuts to Ukraine aid, although other reports claim Trump may continue the payouts.
Some have claimed that Ukraine has stolen half of U.S. aid money and allege they launder some of it back to the Democrats.
The ruler of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, often panders for money from the West.

Interestingly, Zelensky has reportedly abandoned his ‘victory plan‘ which consisted of NATO membership, de-facto war with Russia and potentially nuclear weapons.
“However, the Ukrainian leader has recently abandoned his talk of ‘victory,’ claiming instead that he wants a ‘just peace,’ coupled with security guarantees from the West in the form of NATO membership, with the status of the new Russian regions undetermined,” RT said Monday.
