An answer from Joe Biden to a reporter claiming he wouldn’t mandate vaccines has resurfaced after he announced a vaccine mandate Thursday that will affect over 100 million Americans.

“No, I don’t think it should be mandatory. I wouldn’t demand it to be mandatory,” Biden told a reporter last December.

“Just like I don’t think masks have to be made mandatory nationwide,” he added.

On Thursday, Biden announced the Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) would soon require all companies employing over 100 people to mandate either a Covid vaccine, or serial testing of unvaccinated workers, as well as mandatory vaccines for all federal workers.

As demonstrated with the mask situation, the administration doesn’t need to make vaccines “mandatory,” it just needs the right government entities to apply pressure in the right places, and the general public is compelled to fall in line.
