Louisiana legislators advanced a bill to prohibit geo-engineering – the spraying of particulate matter into the atmosphere to manipulate the weather – moving the state’s “chemtrails” ban to the Senate.
Last Thursday, SB46, which aims “To prohibit the intentional release, or dispersion of chemicals into the environment of this state with the express purpose of affecting temperature,” passed with 58 votes to 33.
“This bill is to prevent any chemicals above us in the air, specifically to modify the weather,” State Rep. Kimberly Landry Coates (R-Ponchatoula) told the House floor.
Questioned on the facts behind geo-engineering, Rep. Coates noted that other than aluminum nanoparticles, researchers have also found the heavy metal “barium,” as well as other substances “with long words that I can’t pronounce.”
Asked, “Who is doing this?” Rep. Coates responded, “There are multiple people. Multiple groups, contractors.”
“I’ve seen the documents with at least nine federal agencies,” she stated.
The bill, introduced in April by Senator Michael “Big Mike” Fesi (R-District 20), “explicitly forbids such actions, while also allowing exceptions for fire retardant or suppressant substances and agricultural activities, such as the aerial application of seeds, fertilizers, or pesticides, as long as these occur below one thousand feet above ground level.”
“Additionally, the bill authorizes the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality to utilize information and surveillance capabilities from the Louisiana Air National Guard,” the bill states.
If passed by the Senate, SB46 moves on to the governor’s desk and, if signed, goes into law on August 1, 2025.
The state’s move against geo-engineering comes as Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., revealed last August he’s aware of the airborne chemical assault and wants to stop it.
