A stabbing and ensuing fight between Africans and South Americans at a New York City shelter for illegal aliens led to at least four arrests, according to reports.
The disturbing incident unfolded at around 8 p.m. on Friday night at an infamous temporary facility in Manhattan.
Rival groups came to blows after a 25-year-old African male was stabbed in the shoulder, sparking a melee inside the ‘tent city’ located on Randall’s Island.
The New York Police Department declared a Level 3 mobilization to mitigate a “large, unruly crowd” after a number of officers were dispatched to the scene, the New York Post reports.
“Brothers Josue and Moises Delon, 19 and 27, respectively, were arrested in connection to the stabbing and hit with assault charges, the NYPD said.”
Information collected by the Citizen app indicates a total of four suspects were detained, including an 18-year-old male.
The Randall’s Island facility has been the scene of ongoing violence since it was opened in August of 2023.
In January, an illegal alien was arrested for stabbing a 24-year-old man to death during a dispute over a woman at the shelter.
